All of last season I travelled by train to the Valley, from Croydon. Now for the must see Palace game I will travel by car. Two questions:
1. Is the Victoria Drive Car Park open in the evenings and is it still £5.00?
2. I read a lot on the internet about parking in Macro, Halfords or some Bed Store's car parks. Are these places OK especially for night games?

Unusual, no?
Golf Addick needs to take up golf again 🙂
When I first clicked on the thread & saw who had resurrected a 13 year old thread I thought it might have been about the issues faced being stuck in your car once the car park gates had been locked 😉😀
(Some bits of the USA you can get a fine or get towed for parking facing out. This is because there are no number plates on the front of the cars, in Florida for example, and you input your license (sic) tag when you pay at the machine. It means that the obese parking attendant can check you haven't overstayed without actually getting out of his vehicle.)
A thing called the Smiths system also recommends same
So that driving out is easier and safer
Some workplace parking facilities request or insist on reverse parking
I just park sideways across several bays. Good use of handbrake IMO
Also, regarding supermarket car parks, etc, you want to drive in to a space so you get easy access to your hatch/boot to get the shopping in. And, the rear cross-path alerts on cars assist with the safety aspect.
Finally as an anti-theft aspect, particularly at night, it's better if the twocker has to reverse out into a traffic stream. It takes them longer and they'll maybe choose another vehicle.
