Rich Cawley mentions in his latest podcast that there was interest in Ahadme during January, which the player ultimately chose not to pursue.

Seems NJ was happy for him to not be involved in the run-in.
And apparently now the club will listen to offers for him this summer transfer window according to the same man

Also confirms he was the most expensive outlay.

Godden got exactly the same service and he came good pretty quickly.
Not really Godden never really played first part of the season and Ahadme not played in the system from December that changed our season … in pre season the partnership looked good , the link up play was excellent then the season started and we never really played them as a pair

NJ played Ahadme, Godden and Leaburn in two matches together and it was a disaster of a formation.
I have always said it's Nathan Jones gig and he works on a daily basis at Sparrows and we don't but that was the one time I really doubted NJ before the first time with that front formation and after the Second time he tried the same thing.

He got there in the end which showed that Jones learnt from his mistakes and arrived at a formation that worked with a strong defence and just the one number 9 in a central position Godden, with TC, Small or Edwards in wider positions not 6ft 5in strikers going wide.

Too right we are listening to offers. But like when you have a garden clear out and leave some old furniture outside the front with a "please take" sign

I hear you Dessie but isn't it more:

"Please take but you will have to carry on paying the direct debit for three years 🤦🏻‍♂️"

In terms of money outlay he has been one of the poorest signings of recent years and he has some fierce competition in that regard!
As another said - on the flip side we signed an absolute gem in Josh Edwards from the second tier in Scotland. Perhaps we should redouble our scouting interests in that area going forward.

Not sure how much up front we paid for him, hope we didn’t have a clause where we make a payment if we won promotion.

I'd not be surprised if there was, also Ahadme trousering an increase if we get promoted.

Tempted to believe the theory on here that suggested we’d pay a promotion bonus/appearance fee if he played 20 league games. He played 19 in the end, I know some mention has been made of injuries but I think if he’d had a season ending injury the club would have said something

Perhaps Ronald can confirm this, he knows his stuff.

A while ago someone on here said an agent had told them there was an up front fee and add-ons, one of which I think he said was a promotion fee

I do find it weird how you constantly stick up for Ahadme whilst giving TC and Small (when he was here) pelters

Wonder if Jacko would take him at the Wombles? They've got a few gaps to fill with loan players going back and players being sold.

Good luck to him, hope he does well enough to earn a permanent move somewhere.

Decent move for him all things considered, both NJ and JR have mentioned him having lots of injuries over the past season and I don't think we were given the full story on some of them, hope for his, and our, sake he goes there, scores some goals and raises his stock

I remember Cambridge fans saying they liked him, but were surprised we signed him because his ceiling is mid-table L1. Now he's gone to Stevenage, that stands up.

I think we'll be loaning him out for the remainder of his contract because nobody will pay him what we're paying him.

I think in the right set up he can do well but I don't think that is us, especially now we're in the championship.

I hope he stays fit and ge does well for them. Remember he'll still have two years left on his contract next summer
