I know swap deals don’t really happen anymore but wonder if they’d take Ahadme on loan? Might be the place for him to improve his physicality and there’d be lots of crosses to get his head on
It’s only the 21st June. The play off final was the 25th May, the same day the Prem finished, and we’ve got this ridiculous farce of a competition taking place in the U.S. we’ve lost one (Small) and signed one (Sonny), had credible links with the Brighton lad, Galbraith and now this potential link with this chap at Stockport. Not that I would judge a window this early, but for me these are all reasonable signs and personally, we’re pretty much where I expected us to be at this stage.
There’s little happening at the moment, think there were only 9 Championship arrivals over the last 7 days. Suspect it will start ramping up in a week or two
He got 20 goals from 51 shots in league two and only started 20 odd games last season scoring 7. Reckon he'd be an impact sub but I'd say he'd be a smart signing. Luke a younger Chuks with pace, what's not to like.
Like a younger Chuks, but without the technical ability.

2 million would be a ridiculous price. Where are all these mental prices for L1 players coming from
If we hadn’t gone up it’s the minimum we’d expect for the likes of TC and Ramsay isn’t it?
Stockport are of course a smaller club, but they’re also a well run club and have had money invested, they’re not going to roll over and sell one of their best players for say £500k when there’s now so much money in the Championship.
It’s been 10 years since we paid over £1m for a player. The Championship is like the PL years ago with the money being spent. We’ve not been a part of it with our ownership issues while sloshing in L1 and selling our better players at the first sign of a £1-2m offer, such as Grant and Konsa.
It’s a good sign we appear willing to pay £1-2m for a few players, as that’s what it’s going to take to properly compete. Proven Championship players under contract are likely to cost far more, so we need to look for the best we can afford elsewhere.
I don't disagree with the sentiment but the prices still feel high for a good L1 player when you compare to the likes of Alfie May for 300k, Dion Charles for 750k, Aaron Collins for 800k. Etc. Of course there are your Jack Rudoni's as well.
I get that we're in the Championship so will quoted higher prices, but 2m for Olaofe seems steep. Thank goodness we got Ahadme last season or we probably would've shipped 3 mil.

Again agree with the sentiment but the last May transfer was supposedly 750kish which is high for someone of his age and experience.
Collins dropping down to L2 is another sign of how mad things have gone

Aaron Collins has just gone for almost 1m to league two.
It's the way football is now. PL clubs making 100m signings, some players in the championship go for 15-20m, and now league one is 2-3m for a decent player.

Age is a big factor compared to those players, as well as pace and power. I don’t think any of those players have that combination?
May was with Cheltenham who at best would be relegation battle in L1, and he’s unlikely to play regularly at Championship level. Might be wrong but I got the impression there was an agreement they’d let him go the summer we signed him. Stockport though probably don’t have to sell, and Olaofe signed a new deal only a year ago.
Charles and Collins both seem like players who won’t push on to the Championship. Did Bolton sell them both because they’re declining as players or part of their problems? If they were that important to Bolton they’d probably still be there.
The positive I'm taking out of the rumours is that a lot of the more credible (not necessarily true, but at least believable) rumours have been players in the 24-25 year old range more or less.
Not "youngsters with potential" nor are they journeymen after a last payday, but still in the space where they could conceivably grow and improve, hopefully here but if not then at least sold at a profit.
He is strong, athletic, is good at pressing and has very little skill and is not a good finisher. Sounds like a reserve player. Do you pay 1 million for someone is only going to play 20 minutes a game?

He gets passed defenders with ease, gets to the goal line and puts in dangerous crosses.
Something TC and Small struggle with, this guy is a wide player, not a centre forward

If he does well for us then his resale could be 5 million plus and he hasn't reached his prime yet. I don't think we can stick to just freebies and loans. For Championship clubs a million isn't a lot for one player (same for a few League one clubs)

Only downside is that Darling has already gone to Norwich

M’bick has not cost a transfer fee.

He was a real handful in the away game against us. Getting in behind and running at Ramsay
