So a goalkeeper at 1.7million and you think he would sit on the bench?Scoham said:
If he wants first team football though the PL or Serie A is a huge jump. We’d need them all to see him as cover to begin with and the player to want a guarantee of being first choice to have a chance from the looks of it.Braziliance said:
Just a shame as on the face of it, he seems like a potentially fantastic signing.ShootersHillGuru said:
I think we can safely forget about this one.Braziliance said:Just want to mention the goalie linked again, Noel Törnqvist.
I read the article and the linked clubs and for those that didn't the clubs are Leeds, Parma, Empoli and Cremonese.
The journalist, Alfredo Pedullà who shared the article is apparently very reputable, so the interest might actually be genuine.
The transfer fee isn't too outrageous. The Swedish club are asking for 22 million Krona, which equates to roughly 1.7 million pounds, isn't a crazy fee for a keeper of that quality looking at his stats*
Here is the wording and translated:
"Uppgifter: Leeds United, Charlton Athletic, Parma Calcio, Empoli FC och US Cremonese är intresserade av Noel Törnqvist, 23. Mjällby AIF uppges kräva omkring 22 miljoner kronor för målvakten.📰Alfredo Pedullá (🇮🇹)"
"Details: Leeds United, Charlton Athletic, Parma Calcio, Empoli FC and US Cremonese are interested in Noel Törnqvist, 23. Mjällby AIF are said to be demanding around 22 million kronor for the goalkeeper.📰Alfredo Pedullá (🇮🇹)"
Good god you are having a laugh.
If we paid that money out for two or three players I would be shocked.

You’ve misread what I said. A PL or Serie A team could easily pay £1.7m for a sub GK.
Obviously we won’t be, if we pay £1m+ for anyone we know they’d be coming here as first choice. We know we may start paying those sort of fees given we’ve made similar bid for Galbraith and being in the Championship brings in an additional £11m vs L1.6 -
Honestly the worst rumours thread ever… literally zero dopamine so far

Sheffield Wednesday start back for pre-season training today.
And announce 5 massive new signings1 -

Glad he wasn’t a target. PA fans in the main thought he was lightweight and had a mini purple patch that made him look better than he was. Not a Jones player.MarcusH26 said:https://www.pafc.co.uk/news/mustapha-bundu-leaves-argyle

To remind you. Alfie May wasn't a Jones player so we sold him & signed Ahadme instead.
....If you forget that we signed Ahadme.

If Jones and Chapple are struggling with recruitment they can perhaps look no further than seeking the help of Acworth who has presented an extensive list to help them.

Highlights on the list include Ben Purrington, Albie Morgan, Jordan Cousins, Benik Afobe last seen playing in the Qatari 2nd division, and 39 year old Billy Sharp.36 -
