A lot of comments about his finishing are based off 1 game (in which he also scored with a great finish). You can't judge someone's finishing ability of a 1 game sample size. His finishing record is pretty decent overall
His xG to goals ratio is actually pretty good to be fair, around 9 for both which suggests he’s putting away the chances given to him. Godden over performed his xG by 3 so we’re all possibly putting too much expectation on strikers a bit
And last season Olaofe scored 20 goals from 16.8xg. His finishing is fine, and he will offer a lot more than goals to the team

When we signed that Alan Campbell bloke on loan we got excited because he would break his granny’s leg for the last digestive biscuit or something like that. Once a player is ours it is the nature of things to see or make the best of it. The crucial bit is, of course, getting the best players playing well for us once they are here. It didn’t happen with Campbell nor (sadly because of the length of contract) Ahadme. I don’t question Ahadme’s effort, but he is not the right fit for us.

Writing a player off due to not have ‘a better profile’ isn’t a good enough reason to write someone off before they’ve even signed unfortunately.

All strikers miss chances .. but they have to be in the right position to miss them , I be more concerned if he was not getting the chances to miss cause that would mean his positioning was not good enough ….
