Deadline Day from Pg.641 - Summer 2025 Charlton Athletic Transfer Rumours

Burke would be a decent addition. Always impressed me at Bradford. Ex-West Ham academy too, local lad.1
-
Reece Burke is a quality player but is too injury prone.0

Appreciate all the work Rich Cawley puts in with regards to Charlton but he really is struggling to get hold of leaks at the club isn’t he. Linked us with kaminski after some random turkish media outlet mentioned it first.11
-
Kaminski must be on big wages - especially getting more than from a Turkish top flight team.Seven figure fee and highest paid player (so far?) surely must be at least 15k per week? He’s an experienced player and signed for £2.5m in the Prem a couple seasons ago.Exciting times!3
-
Can't believe we are spending a million quid on a keeper... so good not to be having to try to get excited about signing cast-offs2
-
Oh I agree that’ll be their intention but if there are only a couple of clubs in for him, let’s say us and Hudds then he might not fancy either. There are variables involved in this.Amos on the wing said:

I do hope so but I have a suspicion he’ll run his contract down and give himself many more options this time next year.Henry Irving said:

next in please🙏🏻🙏🏻🤞🏻😂
He and his agent, along with Orient, may well be waiting for a better offer but until that happens we have a chance.0 -
A confirmation from him is all I need to know. Probably promised him 8 grand and free kebabs we can offer him 10 and Morley's chicken.CAFC_boi said:Kaminski must be on big wages - especially getting more than from a Turkish top flight team.Seven figure fee and highest paid player (so far?) surely must be at least 15k per week? Either way whether we have a big or small budget only Huddersfield have come in for Galbraith despite everyone knowing we had an initial bid rejected. If we give Orient what they ask and no one else needs him he would come to usLazy_eye_metaphor said:Bedsaddick said:

I think Galbraith might have a say in that!4 -

We are in the championship if Charlton came in for me with a nice offer and Jones smoking my ass with inventive words and promises id take it it's good wages and better grade football can leave next season for a better offer if he proves himself worthy.bobmunro said:Crispywood said:

You don’t get near the Belgian team without having to be very good. If it’s him we sign then it’s a great signing.Steven81 said:Had a few beers now and well excited about this goalkeeper talk Belgium international then I googled him and has 1 cap the goalkeeping equivalent of Patrick bamford
admittedly I haven't seen much of Luton tbh but he must be decent so sounds promising.11 -
Fingers crossed he doesn’t experience a third relegation in a row!2

Not sure Amarii Bell is on our radar. Released by Luton as far as I’m aware, didn’t reject a new contract so do we even see him as League One standard.0

Might have been released as they can’t afford him rather than a standard issueLargeAddick said:Not sure Amarii Bell is on our radar. Released by Luton as far as I’m aware, didn’t reject a new contract so do we even see him as League One standard.2 -

What a Sunday for rumours, very exciting week and things really looking up if we get Olaofe and kaminski in early doors next week. After seeing so many Charlton tops around bluewater yesterday I really think it’s the right time to build on the momentum.5

Davis Keillor-Dunn Next please 🙏🏻

That's what years of undisclosed fees does to our fanbase. Probably for our own good fees are kept hidden from us.Scoham said:
That argument doesn’t work with our fanbase. You can find Charlton fans saying we paid £1m for Ahadme all over the internet.MillwallFan said:
But it’s no where near 5 million. Initial outlay will be about half that. It only becomes 5 million if he fulfills all the add ons. And if that happens then 5 mill will be seen as a good deal.DOUCHER said:
i haven't spoken to one millwall fan who doesn't think they have been well and truly mugged for £5m on that signing - apart from the money, none of them rate the player995632 said:
Millwall just spent £5mill on a striker who was injured for a fair chunk of the season and scired about 5 goals... Would hate to think what wages he'll be on too...ShootersHillGuru said:Seems I’ve taken some some stick for suggesting that Olaofe is a bit of a punt. That’s fair enough. It’s a football forum. For those of you that have said I’ve written him off. Why exactly is saying in my opinion he’s a bit of a punt, writing him off. He could be great and hope he is. My main point was that I’m hoping that we are also in the hunt for more experienced Championship players with a good track record at that level. I agree that top league one is where we’ll find most gems but I’m also hoping for a bit more.
The 5 years we've been away from the Championship has meant the goal posts have been moved even further away without factoring in the destruction caused by the successive ownership groups/crooks/charlatans/egos inflicted on us since our L1 championship season.
Pretty much damned if we do, damned if we don't - go for an 'ageing Champ experienced player and they're only here for a last payday', lack of ambition from the board. Go for top end L1 players who 'have no Championship experience', lack of ambition from the board AND we have no money. Go for decent solid free transfers and 'they must be crap because their old club OBVIOUSLY doesn't want them and lack of ambition/no money from the board.'
Then we have our weird fascination with ex-players who "could do a job" when they left us with because they couldn't do a job or didn't want to stay with us anyway. Also been talking about a couple of ex-players who have played for the last few seasons in the Championship and have the experience we're possibly lacking and crying out for, but we don't want them because there's definitely zero way they might've progressed from the players they were previously in the intervening years.
Damned if we do, damned if we don't!!I’m not sure how many Millwall fans you know but most of the ones I’ve spoken to are happy with the deal. The goals per game ratio doesn’t look great on paper but if you actually watch him play you’ll see he brings so much more to the game than that. Still only young at 22 and will hopefully fill out a bit he could go on to be a great signing. We’ll see.2 -
Difference is Macgillvray couldn’t also save shorts. I’d argue commanding area is less important in the championship than L1 since everyone in the championship tries to play tiki taka football. Don’t think we could find a better shot stopper than Kaminski for 1M if we triedFortune 82nd Minute said:

From what i've read a few Luton fans have said Bell was really poor last season after he returned from injury. Missed the last 2-3 months of their PL season with a hamstring injury, then missed a third of last season with another hamstring injury.fenaddick said:

At the age of 31 and having his last 2 seasons affected by injury, i'm not sure he's one we should really be going for.

Wasn't Kaminski the violin player in ELO? A real Out of the Blue signing.1

Seem to remember early in the season that Mannion didn’t come out much either. Clearly Henderson, the strong defence or a combo of both changed that. No reason the same couldn’t happen for Kaminski1
