I just don’t think NJ will have enough confidence in Taylor, A Mitchell or Ahadme to keep them for a Championship campaign. If they leave, this will add to the number of new incomings. If they stay and we have to rely upon them, we are in for a battle and a half.I think it will look more like this after we have sold a few…loans and sales at the endGK - Kaminski / Mannion / AMBRWB - NEW / NEWCBs- Ramsey, Jones, Gillesphy, NEW (Burke), NEW (Famewo)LWB - Edwards / NEWDM - Coventry / NEWCM - NEW / Docherty / AndersonCAM - Carey / BerryST - Oloafe / TCST - NEW/ Godden / Leaburn

Project, "what we are building here", plans in place, all buzzwords and sentences. Players chase big pay cheques and clubs they know are a good stepping stone.Valley11 said:
My point is nothing to do with ‘dreaming’ of playing for Charlton. It’s that Jones wants players who totally buy into the project from the start. Not someone who dithers about signing up because there might be a better offer elsewhere. I applaud that.Braziliance said:
That would be a terrible mindset though and a bit hypocritical of Jones considering he has shown 'ambition' in the past by leaving Luton, twice. Not having a pop at our manager, it's just everyone in football thinks like this.Valley11 said:Jones strikes me as the sort of bloke who would immediately close the book on it if Galbraith said he preferred Swansea.Which is the right way to operate.
Let's have it right, most footballers don't dream of playing for Charlton, they dream of becoming professional and making it to the Premier League.
"Don't cut off your nose to spite your face" comes to mind.
As a fan I have higher ambitions of players playing for Charlton than Galbraith, but a player like him might help boost us to the next level.
That should be the mindset, as long as they put in the effort, I genuinely don't care if a player has other ambitions, so do we as fans.
No players wants his career to peak at Charlton and if they do, I don't want them here personally. I want us to sign players who have belief that they can outgrow us as that only benefits us (until we reach the Prem). Unless you're one of the big clubs that's how it goes.
All irrelevant now anyway it looks like he prefers Swansea.5 -

No way, still a clickbait site that gets 95% of stuff wrong or late.CAFC_boi said:
Credit due to FLW again … on the money with Galbraith to Swansea and also broke Kanu to Wimbledon before Rich Cawley - want to hear the respect from Henry as loud as the disrespectCAFC_boi said:
It WAS a rubbish click bait site but this summer they have been getting a lot of exclusives right.Henry Irving said:
Even a broken clock is right twice a day.Braziliance said:
It is speculation. Jay speculated it is the players attitude towards us why he may not sign, I have then speculated if he does go to Swansea, it will be probably be a financial issue or decision as we have shown confirmed interest.Callumcafc said:
Article has zero mention of Swansea upping their offer. It's just a fluff piece put out by a party with a motive to drive a bidding war.Braziliance said:
Worth every penny, he's class and Jones must want him. I think he would fit like a glove here, just have a feeling. He just offers something we lack similar to Tanto, that's invaluable.fenaddick said:
Unless I missed it that FLW doesn’t mention price other than our bid and the Hudds one at £2.5m which I’d say is the upper limit of what he’s worth I thinkBraziliance said:Very disappointing if he signs there. Going for a very fair/cheap price and improves us. Can't say we weren't interested either as we bid
To be fair, we don't know that. The fact he signed for Orient in the first place and has consistently played shows he probably doesn't have an attitude.000__Jaaaaay__000 said:Braziliance said:Very disappointing if he signs there. I think it’s more the fact Galbraith thinks he can do better than us
I would say it's more so Swansea have a bit more breathing room than us and have upped their offer.
If that is the case, I'd like to see us match them at least. It would be very difficult to find a player with his qualities that can also play about 4 different roles and only being 24. Players like this are proper upgrades and affordable. Would be nice to see.
I listen to FLW a bit more considering they have had a few scoops this window.
It is a rubbish click bait site.Got to give them credit where it’s due rather than being ignorant. Will you give them credit if Galbraith ends up at Swansea?

Nah, hardly any quicker than Berry or Docherty.Powell2ThePeople said:Don't know his name, but the number 3 in red looks decent. Worth a punt I reckon.

We dodged a bullet with Galbraith. He will be playing in the National League in 2027 alongside Thierry Small.

Not sure if Nathan Jones would approve of him assaulting all of our players.Charlton43 said:Love to see us go for Charlie Webster at Burton. Thought he looked quality last season.0 -
Will Orient be posting a picture of training tomorrow?

Marc Leonard is a very good shout, can play the 8 and also cover the Coventry role - seems to be out of favour at Birmingham after a very good season for Northampton.8
-
Just signed Tommy Doyle which will push Leonard down the pecking order even more. Can't see how he gets regular games for them as I don't expect Doyle to be the only CM they addCovered_End_Lad said:Marc Leonard is a very good shout, can play the 8 and also cover the Coventry role - seems to be out of favour at Birmingham after a very good season for Northampton.
Would expect a long queue of clubs after Leonard but he'd fit what we need.0 -
They’ve just signed Tommy Doyle, yet another player who plays in that position. Think Leonard would be a great pick up if they’re open to selling.Covered_End_Lad said:Marc Leonard is a very good shout, can play the 8 and also cover the Coventry role - seems to be out of favour at Birmingham after a very good season for Northampton.0 -

Bitter sweet news for Orient fans.covered_end_junior said:Swans seal deal for Orient's Galbraith
Latest from Sky Sports News' Anthony Joseph:
Swansea City have agreed a £1.5m deal to sign Leyton Orient central midfielder Ethan Galbraith.
It’s understood the Northern Ireland international has also agreed personal terms with the Championship club.
Galbraith, 24, scored six goals and provided eight assists in all competition for Orient last season.
They'll be fucking delighted he isn't signing for us, but at the same time probably not impressed a player they all said was worth 3m is only going for half that.11 -
Do Orient have any players left?
I make it they've now lost Kelman, Donley, Agyei, Pratley, Galbraith, Keeley, Currie, Williams, Ball.
8 of those featured in the play off final.8 -

Was the only impressive thing about Burton… until he pressed the self destruct button and got himself sent off.Charlton43 said:Love to see us go for Charlie Webster at Burton. Thought he looked quality last season.0 -
Only 2 signings so far - Keeper from Brighton, and Demetri Mitchell (Left Wing back/Winger) from Exeter.Chris_from_Sidcup said:Do Orient have any players left?
