There is no next. We have exhausted our list. No-one wants to play for us because we are vile and Jones has a reputation for destroying players' ping-pong tables.
I see the above and raise you Bjorn Heidenstrom and Stephane Pounewatchy of Orient and Carlisle respectively from the 97/98 Championship Manager season
I guess one question is does NJ see Carey as the 8 or 10?
Primary as the attacking midfielder but as football has become a numbers game, Nathan will see Sonny Carey as a 10 because of his recent goal scoring prowess but also an 8 in the championship where Charlton will be out of possession for long periods.
When we are defending our area for corners or set pieces it's not just the 8 who has to be a box to box player or when we are defending in a low block.
The 1-0 home win against Leeds in the Championship when it was like the Alamo even Lyle Taylor spent more time as a defensive midfielder !
Why would Galbraith openly say he wants to join Swansea. If that doesn’t happen and he joins someone else it looks like it was a second best choice for him and pisses off fans. Not only that. If Swansea are in the race they can sit it out until late in the window and Orient are more or less forced to accept their offer. I don’t believe it for a second.
I agree Galbraith wouldn't say that openly but players do obviously say to their agents who out of possible suitors would they prefer to go to. Once the scarf is around the neck and before the ink has dried then most players will praise their new club and 'project'.
Offiah was born in London and used to be in Bromley's academy.
I'd like to think that if we are in for him (Cawley did confirm a few weeks back that we were) then as long as we're not miles away from what Preston are offering him in wages, then he'd prefer to sign for us over them.
Judging by NJ’ face in the last 30 secs of his interview yesterday I’d suggest he has a few more gems up his sleeve. There was a smirk, almost grin when asked about how the plans were shaping up.
Woke up at 1am.anf looked on Facebook in a vain effort to go back to sleep. There was a post from the club with that looked like a photo of a chip shop and a countdown clock. No idea ifbits some cryptic clue about a new signing,, news we've outsourced the chips to a new company at the Valley, or just my own deleting, but I'll take it we've got another new recruit announced today.

Wonder if anything more will come about from that Imray lad at Palace
Danny Imray is highly rated by Andy Woodman at Bromley after his 39 games in 24/25 on his season loan from Palace as a Right back/RWB role.
With both Small and Watson gone this is a position we need to fill and if it's thought that Imray can step up two divisions then this 21 year old could be a good loan for both Charlton and Palace if they feel he could one day be in their Premier squad.
Imray would be a strange one unless they’re really confident he’s good enough to be first choice. If he came here as back up we already have Asiimwe who has also played well in L2.
