If anyone from the club reads these threads then please consult with Nug over next years designs. I actually think the designs we've released are decent enough, but the ones Nug designs always look great.18

My 16 year old is exactly the same. It's his birthday today and I've promised him a top. He is leaning towards the keeper top over the away top. He wants a new top in time for 5-a-side with his mates next Sunday, so he's hoping to see the away keepers top and/or the third kit before then. Not sure we'll see the third kit that soon, but might have a chance at the away keepers top. If that's the same as the home, but shades or dark blue instead of green then I think that might be the winner with him.Rothko said:
My test for is the shirt any good is my 11 year old, and he likes it, but prefers the keepers top the most at the momentfenaddick said:

That’s so nice, I’m going to be devastated when the actual third is rubbish in comparison!MarcusH26 said:

Might just have to see the blue/white in flesh before deciding if I like or not…I don’t mind the sword alone either on the 2nd/3rd kit…but badge is a must for the home shirt0

The museum spoke to club last season about hosting a consultation event like we had done before with Hummel and castore.Chris_from_Sidcup said:If anyone from the club reads these threads then please consult with Nug over next years designs. Despite it being an easy winner nothing happened albeit we have since learned that some fans had been consulted0 -

I was hoping to pick up the away but the comments about quality are a bit worrying. Any positive comments regarding quality from those who have bought it?0

Yes mate, it wicks a tonne of moisture!1

Please CAFC, just give Nug a contract…5

The consulted fans advised, “Yes, put the price up and lower the quality to Erith Market levels, winner, winner, chicken dinner…”cafc999 said:

Unless Nug is able to supply a ton of kits then I think the contract would need to come from Reebok or whoever is the supplier!Photollery said:Please CAFC, just give Nug a contract…5 -
Nah, my gorilla glue will make those RSK logo’s stay on after 3 washes…I’m free to help Nug

It’s easy to design something when you have no one to answer to and I can just do what I like. I’m not sure what the brief was from the club, what research they did amongst fans and how many people are involved in the decision making process, all of those come in to play. A lot of people will want to get involved in the kit both at Reebok and the club itself, it’s a fun, high profile thing to be involved with. No doubt the designer had a lot of ‘input’. Overall it seems to me they’re trying to appeal to a younger fanbase and I think that’s working, shame to hear about the quality though, no excuse for that if it’s true.11

I think the brief will involve how much can we get away selling it for, and how cheap we can get make it for.Nug said:It’s easy to design something when you have no one to answer to and I can just do what I like. I can’t get a certain word out of my head for the away shirt. Previously we had Seahawk & Denim
Now we have ………Smurfjizz

My guess is that the third shirt is a silver grey number. In the video of the first day back at Sparrow’s Lane that the club put out today the coaching staff were in navy with silver grey panels over the shoulders. The players’ training kit is the navy with the red panels from the fabric of the home shirt. So I think that the grey panels in the coaching staff shirt may come from the third shirt fabric.1

yeah, just be done with it, make the players feel really at home, Luton it is!The Red Robin said:

The material is thin which is nice but it has that cheap, fake shirt shine. All the printing feels sketchy, the club badge especially feels ready to come off. I'll buy a training shirt instead I think (not in stock at Bluewater).By the way it's by the Starbucks on the HMV, food court side - not the Waterstones side.0
-
Been in the club shop today…might & that’s a big MIGHT wait till they are on sale come next March/April,material feels cheap & very thin, logo & badge looks/feels like they are made from
some kind of shiny plastic…sorry Reebok not a fan of shirts, tracksuits & that kind of stuff are pretty good tho…1 -
One of our gang just paid 15pound post and 21 pound import changes on top of what Charlton wanted for shirt.northstandsteve said:Just had a customer bring in a new home shirt to have a name and number put on it, christ the quality is absymal, more like something a Lookie Lookie man would sell, who bloody signs this stuff off at the club, forget the design that is neither here nor there the actual quality is shit wouldn't pay £15.00 let alone £501 -
