Is this the same “Dmac” that was besties with Matt Southall and didn’t have any inkling about what he was really like? Couldn’t care less what he has to say
Came here to say this. Who gives a fck that that cretin thinks.
  • Might've meant to post this in the England Cricket thread  :D
I'd be more interested in what you posted on the Cricket thread...😉
  • Squad taking shape but I definitely still see another minimum 5 and which is more than the club has been talking about.  Below is all the senior players minus Leaburn, who, given his injuries I see as more of a wildcard.  Three of the five (the starters) will need to be top class imo.

                                   Kaminski
                                   Mannion

    New.     Ramsey.      Jones.          Bell         Edwards
New    Z Mitchell.   Mitchell.   Gillesphey      new

                          Coventry.            New
                          Docherty.       Anderson

                                       Carey
                                       Berry

                    Olaofe.                    New
                      TC                        Godden

How is Leaburn not in this line up? Is he leaving?
  • With Mbick signing a new long-term contract and coming on in the final, as well as Leaburn returning to fitness, it will be interesting to see if Jones now sticks with what he's got up front and puts the rest of the budget into other areas.
Reckon he goes Oloafe, TC, Godden, Leaburn and one more forward signing up top. Loan out Kanu and Mbick and try and sell Ahadme but more likely a loan cause no one will spend money on him
I would be looking to sign a hold up target man where the ball sticks - and at least use him as a game changer, like we used Chuks

    Plan A may be good.
But there are times you need Plan B.

    Injured
  • Role reversal, our tail collapsing in a heap this time
let's hope our tails are wagging all season long
  • ✍️ Jonson Clarke-Harris has parted ways with Rotherham United by mutual consent.

Any takers in League One or League Two?

Remember the meltdown when we did not sign him !!

It’s all very well getting a few free ones from lower leagues but I’d say mix it up a bit and aim higher , someone like Danny ings , we need more firepower , nip in quick and offer a decent wage with no transfer fee it’s a no brainer , and there is a few players every year you can do that with
    1) we couldn’t afford him
    2) he’s crap
    3) I’m not sure you he adds any firepower - we’re talking about a striker that has scored 4 goals in the last 3 seasons.
  • Danny Ings would see Will Abbott more than he'd see the field.
  • Rumour: "a currently circulating story or report of uncertain or doubtful truth."...not a discussion on the strengths, weaknesses or whatever of the current squad...!

He’s got Wrexham written all over him (not literally)

Oh it's such a Wrexham signing. They are light up front too so I can see it happening.
  • Can't see 2 more strikers coming in. I reckon

    1 st/rw
    Rwb
    Cm

And a utility player depending on outgoings
  • Galbraith to Swansea is done.

  • Please stop talking about formations on here, there’s other threads for that, don’t put it here purely cos you can’t be arsed to look for the other threads.

    Thanks

Formations are an important factor in recruiting. You do not just go out to buy the best eleven players you can afford and then wonder how to make a team out of them. (Although it has looked that way in our recent past).
  • like Derby, Swansea are spending a lot in the quest for the Holy Grail, a k a the Premier League
  • Galbraith to Swansea is done.

“Gave him the choice… Huddersfield came in, he didn’t want to play League One football… Charlton came in, he didn’t want to play… he didn’t think he fit their style of football”
Meh is what it is, think the style of football comment is a a bit of a cop out but we move on. Can’t do anything if the player ultimately doesn’t want to play for the club. Hope our next targets are just as good as him

Let's hope we don't have to look at pages of this bloody picture of Galbraith in his Swansea garb please...😫

  • Very disappointing if he signs there. Going for a very fair/cheap price and improves us. Can't say we weren't interested either as we bid

I think it’s more the fact Galbraith thinks he can do better than us

had a feeling this would be the case, he was never a Nathan jones style of player
