  • Haven't a clue who that is, but that is a pukka football shirt.

With Mbick signing a new long-term contract and coming on in the final, as well as Leaburn returning to fitness, it will be interesting to see if Jones now sticks with what he's got up front and puts the rest of the budget into other areas.
Reckon he goes Oloafe, TC, Godden, Leaburn and one more forward signing up top. Loan out Kanu and Mbick and try and sell Ahadme but more likely a loan cause no one will spend money on him
That would leave us short I reckon. Only one played in championship. Need a more experienced big man and another TC style. Dont know who though.
Wouldn’t say 5 players competing for 2 positions is leaving us short and you aren’t going to do a complete squad flip in one window
Don't forget that we can have 9 subs on the bench this season, so have space on the bench for at least 3 attackers. I still would like an experienced striker to come off the bench, someone to cause chaos like Chuks did  with his strength and physical presence. And to close out games like Hylton occasionally did.
I thought it was (only 7 subs) this season?

    Galbraith to Swansea is done.

I guess I’d have a face like a wet fish, if I was going to Swansea, never seen a player so unexcited on getting a transfer, I’m pleased we’ve haven’t bought him, the miserable toad!
  • The next 40 minutes are crucial...😉
  • This is quite random, why are there two Chinese football fans asking if Godden is going to China in his comment section? Specifically Shijiazhuang Gongfu F.C.  😂

    This feels like wind ups

    AI bots. Probably twins.

A team in the second tier too, Godden would walk into almost every CSL team

Squad taking shape but I definitely still see another minimum 5 and which is more than the club has been talking about.  Below is all the senior players minus Leaburn, who, given his injuries I see as more of a wildcard.  Three of the five (the starters) will need to be top class imo.

                                   Kaminski
                                   Mannion

    New.     Ramsey.      Jones.          Bell         Edwards
New    Z Mitchell.   Mitchell.   Gillesphey      new

                          Coventry.            New
                          Docherty.       Anderson

                                       Carey
                                       Berry

                    Olaofe.                    New
                      TC                        Godden

How is Leaburn not in this line up? Is he leaving?
hes either injured, about to be injured or coming back from injury.
I know Abbott is not able to cast protective spells over players, but did Leaburn get injuried after he came on board?
    Abbott joined in early 2024.

Think you'll find it was 2010....

  • So do we think Reece Burke will be the next signing??
  • Guessing it’s Hills on loan or Burke permanently
  • Someone we haven’t been linked with yet?

    Oh well, always tomorrow...🤷‍♂️
  • Fuck Orient
    Fuck  Preston
    Fuck  Swansea

Glad to see you're not bitter ...
  • I’d much rather Brad Hills. Younger, less injury prone and will have a future sell on value.
Agree, but would also like a slice of Pye ...
Left footed so that won’t happen with Bell coming in. Maybe one for a future window?

I've heard he's also fluent in mandarin and Cantonese our sniffer dog.

  • It's been negotiated by the government as part of a wider trade deal. Aero engines,  clean hydrogen technology,  an electric car factory in the UK, and Matty Godden.

PM Starmer, the well known Arsenal fan said when this package was being put together that to clinch the deal the quid pro quo will have to be 'Godden again'.

    China crisis?
Wishful Thinking on their part I think.

Pye wouldn't be a starter just a filler for afters 😋

Continues the pattern of signings as well 😅

    Carey - young potential
    Kaminski - experienced
    Tanto - Young potential
    Bell - experienced

    Hills - young potential
  • I'd like to think we could get both Burke and Hills but I would guess that's probably a step too far.
  • Hills would be good. Have we been linked anywhere or just wishful thinking on here?

I really want an under the radar signing that the majority feel good about 🤞🏻
  • Been away on a break, what is the position of Miles Leaburn, I understand he has incurred a Quad injury, and will not be fit till October?. Sorry if this has been discussed but the fellow has had more than his fair share of injuries, any informed dates, or is it based on the medical team evaluation  nearer the time?. For the record I have a high regard for the player.
