Miles Leaburn - Signs New 3 Year Contract (p77)

This is the key quote from Jones, Miles is fit and can get a full pre season
"this will be the first time since I’ve been here that Miles gets a pre-season, so this will be a real start of the journey with him. We feel we have real unfinished business with myself and Miles together."28 -
This is very welcome news!6

Getting a preseason so could be a starter5

Great news.
Even more so at this time of year when new signings are a top priority.
So much potential to do well at this level and maybe even higher, especially if he can show the pace he has in the past. He seemed to have lost that burst of acceleration he had when he first broke through.
Keep this up and we should only have a few players out of contract next summer.2 -
Means we can't discuss if it makes sense to sell him in January though, won't the club think of CL for just one second?3

Sure there is a risk of injury but there was a greater, IMHO, risk of losing a talented player for nothing. Not that I think he was planning on running his contract down
Now he and the club can plan long term.
Chinese takeaway tonight @Tracey 😉14 -
If he is fit and can get a full pre season that should allow us to prioritise an attacking midfielder rather than another striker.
Very good news.5 -

The smile isn’t big enough, looks like he’s been forced to sign as he clearly doesn’t want to be here25

Absolutely fantastic news. Fingers crossed he can have a full season0

The good news just keeps coming this summer. This might be the best bit of news so far.4
-
Huge signing - fingers crossed he stays fit and gets a full pre-season, 21 now and got some great years ahead of him - fingers crossed with us.1
-
Stay fit and clubs will come looking again. No brainer for him and the club by putting a new contract in front of him.2

Good news. Let's hope in three years time we aren't regretting it like Chuks.3
-
Massive news. No doubt he is good enough for Championship football. I just hope people have a bit of patience if it takes him a couple of games to find his feet.16

Great news. I had been concerned about his contract situation, with one year left, you're very vulnerable to losing players in January or next summer for peanuts.
He needed a new deal anyway, I imagine his existing wages will be very low.0 -
Interesting that both Miles and Macauley, who were in the away kit photoshoot, have signed new contracts. I wonder if Peter Garland will be next?8

Very good news, this has made my day.0

That's huge. For the first time in a long time we are really building something beyond a season4
