Make no mistake, this extension may not have been agreed if we were still in L1. Very happy.12 -
Would love to know what the buyout clause is in the contract.0

I'm absolutely delighted.
Happy wee Sis 😊0 -
It's difficult for Miles to go under the radar and he definitely has a high ceiling !
Be Lucky Leaburn 💁🏽♂️0 -

Sure there is a risk of injury but there was a greater, IMHO, risk of losing a talented player for nothing. Not that I think he was planning on running his contract down
Now he and the club can plan long term.
Chinese takeaway tonight @Tracey 😉1 -
Let’s not kid ourselves, if he had stayed fit he would’ve been off to Preston. If we can keep him fit it’s a massive win for us.14

A three year deal surely means that Abbott feels confident that Miles is past the worst of his injury problems and thinks he can remain fit. I really hope so. Huge player for us if he’s fit. 7ft 6 in fact.1

Another example of the ambition and commitment of Friedman, Brener and Co.
Previous ownership would have tried to cash in a long time ago.9 - Sponsored links:

Buzzing with that news. Brilliant stuff. Long live the Leaburns.6

Hope he realises similar stats to my use of him in EA fc this year😂 This evolution built player is the finest player I have ever used in the decades I have played the game.0 -
Best signing this window IMO brilliant news3
-
Hopefully he gets a good pre-season behind him. If Jones decides to play that way then a Godden and Leaburn partnership could work very nicely.0
-
Very happy with this. Some areas of his game he needs to improve but I feel he can develop and progress in the championship. Leaaaaabuuurnnnn0
-
Great news. Now, let’s hope he can stay injury free. That, obviously, is the key.0

Really good news. Now all we need to do is find the players who can get to the byline and put in quality crosses as he'll cause mayhem with that kind of service.1
-
Jury still out for me, hope to be proved wrong.3

Insurance for when he smacks in 9 goals in 17 games and gets a big money move in January2

Weirdly, his injuries may have done us a bit of a favour. You have to think they may have cooled interest in him. That plus promotion will have strengthened the club’s hand in negotiations. The length of contract probably more reflects protecting us from losing him on a free than necessarily expecting he will see out the full contract, assuming he can get past the two injuries (which I believe he will now he has probably stopped growing and can mature into his imposing body).
Hopefully we see a solid year from him this year getting used to the championship and playing how NJ needs him to with no serious injuries, then a beast mode year from him in 26/27 and either he’s been so good we’ve got promoted again or it’ll be time to cash in the big bucks.4 -
His mother said he has stopped growing so hopefully he will have less injuries0

Good news, nice long deal too.0

Fantastic news. He's a genuine game changing forward. Big season ahead for him3

This suits all parties . He gets security knowing that if he plays well this season , his value goes up and he will be in high demand . We ensure maximum value next summer if he does do well . A fully fit and raring leaburn could be a game changer. Will be great if he can rediscover it. Hopefully we can get Campbell to sign too - much easier in this division
