The Christmas special that most places do during that time with turkey, cranberry sauce and stuffing is a highlight of the festival period.

During other times of the year the chicken salad is usually the best in the standard meal package. Creating a premium meal deal and moving the good sandwiches into it was the manoeuvre straight out of the bastards from Prets' playbook.

As for paninis, a sandwich press is a sound investment. Buying them from shops is like setting your wallet on fire.

Do you by any chance mean “Panini”? The plural of panino.

I get free breakfast and lunch at work, you can either eat in one of the restaurants or there’s sandwiches, pasta salads in the fridges on two off the floors.

they used to have a panini press that you just used yourself but it was taken away due to cross contamination risks for people with allergies and also non meat eaters/people not eating pork ext, you know, the arseholes

they still buy loads of paninis every day but they’re shit if they’re not toasted

I enjoy a bit of pesto on my panini / panino. Gives it that "authentic" touch. However, not very cheap. Sorry to derail the thread as I appreciate it's about "cheap" paninis / panino..

Just waiting for @DaveMehmet to come on to say he's disappointed as he thought it might be a thread about cheap brasses!

I discovered my favourite panini after a chef randomly gave me some of his homemade pesto.

Ham, Smoked turkey, Gruyere, tomato, wild garlic pesto and Dijon mustard.

    Wahey, now we're talking @Callumcafc

Recommendation was for Exmouth Coffee Company. It's next to Whitechapel Art Gallery.

Well, I hope they still do lovely panini's as haven't been in that area for over a year.

Cafe worth checking out if hungry and in area anyway. Lovely place.

I got that too, but had to stop when HR sent an email out.  Apparently those lunches in the fridge belong to other people.
