99% sure I saw Callum Harriott at David Lloyd Beckenham today. Was going to ask him to come back but seen he signed for Maidenhead. Another one we missed out on!

Someone on the other forum said a Luton reporter thinks we might move for Jordan Clark. I can’t find it on X so not sure where it came from.
They’ve taken a quote from the guy Cawley spoke to in Substack out of context. I don’t want to take the whole quote because Cawley needs subs but the gist of it was just that Jones liked Clark when they were both at Luton

How tall was he? 6'4?
I think we'd need about 4 Callum Harriott's to get to an overall height of 6'4
Article says he wants to start, not sure where he would do that in our system?
Can play left back. Good competition for Edwards. Could see him offering what McClean does for Wrexham
Article says he wants to be a guaranteed starter though, which is why he hasn't gone to their pre season camp. If we were in L1 he'd be worth a punt I think but I prefer Edwards
Experienced, off of the back of a good season for Pompey, leader, might have more experience than most of our squad combined?
I'd prefer our players to have genuine competition as we have stepped up a league, each to their own though.
Not at 35, though. Would rather someone with a sell on value.
Why not? Can't keep saying Ben Watson as an example as our knowledge must expand beyond Charlton Athletic. There are plenty of cases of older players joining clubs on their downwards trajectory and doing well.
As for sell on value, we already have plenty of players in that category, if they do well. Kayne, Edwards, TC, Leaburn, Tanto, Coventry just to name a few. We lack a lot of championship experience, at least in the sense of players who have been there and done it playing at the highest level, consistently.
I think he would be a good stop gap player for a year or two. The majority of his pro career in the prem or championship, over 600 professional appearances, clearly still wants to play as he is leaving Pompey cause he isn't guaranteed play time (wouldn't be coming to steal a living), and a calm, experienced head in a very inexperienced team (overrall) in our first season back in the big time.
If we think we can do better than something like that, I can't wait to see it.
Was speaking to a Pompey season ticket holder a few weeks back and he rated Ritchie as their best player. That should be caveated with the fact that MR is from the area, is a fan and therefore has cult status.

Because he wants guaranteed playing time and he’s nowhere near good enough anymore to guarantee him playing time. He’ll also be 36 a month into the season, no chance he has the legs to play the Small role.
I don't see us spending money on Drameh, when we have Ramsay likely to start? Especially Burke presumably going in at RCB.
Unless it's a sensible fee (200/300k). But would they want to strengthen a rival?
Drameh will cost 1M Preston were interested but thought he was too much at that price. Good player and I’d like to sign him but rather invest more money into another midfielder and forward, considering if Burke and Ramsay are fit they’re nailed for that RCB, RWB role
Why is Ramsay nailed on for RWB when he’s better at RCB? I’d say it’s nailed on we will be looking for a first choice quality RWB and it’s maybe the most important signing we will make so definitely worth some budget

Another Coventry
A number 10
A first choice Championship experienced striker to play with one of the existing
Sell 3 and loan out a couple of others to balance the books and the squad size a tad
