Happy with Burke what we still need some serious creativity and a good RWB
We (fans) need creativity.
I’m not sure Jones does
If Golfie had posted this he would have got slaughtered, the boss posts it and gets 20 likes
This is not a negative comment though.
Where as AFKA is stating that Jones does not crave ‘creativity’ like fans do - which is a fair comment - Golfie would have said something about not having enough strikers, enough goals, done a rolling eye emoji and then go on to say that’s he’s not going to watch Charlton anymore and won’t post on the forum anymore.

I said it as much in jest as being a serious comment but as you have replied a couple of days ago a poster said we are are a tough watch and not very exciting and he got rinsed as well with people claiming we knock it about like Brazil
Clock is ticking till we jet off for Slovenia and we need main signings with us, so step on it Charlton...please
Not sure they will be anymore before Monday … the positions we want to fill are the toughest to buy for …. and it may be a waiting game for our targets
Apparently Rankin Costello is not in Blackburn’s plans and was looking likely to join Stockport but wanted to stay in the Championship. He’d be interested in joining us but has a preference to stay in the North West.
Basically, congrats Preston
PNE would not surprise me .. he's from Stockport, always played in the NW, pity as he would do us nicely (I never ever considered him as a 'prospect') .. back to my old theory .. London is so expensive, especially rents/hotels etc .. this puts off a lot of players I am sure
Think this has been a factor during our time in League One especially when the salary cap was in place. Can make a big difference on League One wages.
Would like to think the raise in Championship wages would take this out of the equation.

Can't afford to be sitting on our hands and waiting for targets to be snapped up by Bloody Preston and the like, no I am sure Nathan will want it done before we leave Monday, which I am sure we will see over the weekend...
I think this forum would’ve combusted if we had announced THREE new signings in our new away shirt.
If that's Slovenia it's stunning isn't it.
It is stunning, I went a couple of weeks ago to Lake Bohinj and genuinely one of the most jaw-dropping places I've ever been that is untouched by tourists...I hope it stays that way
Fuming the pre-season tour was later than last year, thought I'd be able to trick my friends to going to a Charlton pre-season game
Looking forward to welcoming Nakhi Wells as our first signing of the 2026/27 campaign. COYR/H
He might have just turned 35 but I would have taken him for 2 years. Experienced Championship striker who knows where the goal is. Swap him & Godden during the game.....one starts & the other replaces him from the bench with 15 mins to go.
Him, Godden, Leaburn & Oloafe would have been a decent start.
Blackburn Rovers have agreed a deal for Joe Rankin-Costello to join newly-promoted Charlton Athletic, The Lancashire Telegraph understands.
The Rovers Academy graduate has been on the periphery of the squad under Valerien Ismael. Youngster Kristi Montgomery was preferred to Rankin-Costello in the matchday squad at the end of last season.

The Valley is his destination, as first reported by Alan Nixon, with Charlton keen to add more players with Championship experience to their ranks.
Really coming together now, another centre mid. Another attacking player and another that can be back up for either wingback and I’ll be very happy with the recruitment.

We might try and sign Odoffin now that he is officially a Luton player.

Odd announcement video. I was half expecting to hear, "Tonight...three new bombshells enter the villa."
As I say, no big deal

With Ryan Alebiosu set to join imminently, as exclusively revealed by The Lancashire Telegraph, an agreement has been struck for Rankin-Costello to leave Ewood Park.
