Miller would only make sense if Ramsay was going to play wingback and Burke projected starter at rcb but wanting cover due to Burkes injury record. Also means Apter unlikely to play wingback but rather a different role. If he signs, that neither of the Mitchell boys are in the first team plans

Looking at who Sheffield Wednesday have left, and Pierce Charles is a very promising keeper aged 19. Suspect we are well enough stocked in the keeper department though. Are Max Low or Yan Valery any good?

Not that I'm complaining but there's been a distinct lack of (publicised) interest in many of our players. I would have thought that the likes of Campbell, L. Jones etc might have been attracting a few speculative bids from other clubs honestly.
We do seem to be widely viewed as the most vulnerable of the promoted sides (correctly or otherwise) and I'm surprised we haven't had a few "bigger" sides trying to muscle in - or maybe we have and they have been told precisely where they can shove it.
We have a number of players who are unproven at this level. A good season in the Championship and their values will rocket, and more established clubs will be targeting them more.
Or maybe for the first time ever we have owners that are willing to commit funds to securing our players to long term contracts and are not willing to sell if the player benefits the club so any approach is met with a flat NO ! I appreciate that would be a massive shift change but that’s where I think we are at

Matt had a poor 5 games for CAFC on loan after his video showed him as a good attacking full back. Now he has fallen into the National league at 27 I hope he plays well as it would be sad to see the Penney drop again !

Surprised he's turned up at Aldershot, as both his previous National League spells (Rochdale, Altrincham) have been very disappointed with just a handful of appearances - Must be a bit of a troubled young man there, as your career surely doesn't just go off a cliff like that, not at that age. Especially after playing as many games as he did for Sheff Wed, Ipswich even Motherwell.

I think he has a decent chance yes. He has the physicality and not lacking in confidence which can take you a long way. The youngster I’m most concerned about is TC whenever he knows he has the beating of the player marking him he looks fantastic but likewise he seems to give up a bit if he doesn’t

He's such a work in progress but I thought he made huge leaps towards the end of the season with some great cameos. He's improving all the time, has a fantastic engine and screams Jones type of player. I have a feeling he will.

Don't know but I think he has a good chance. Very strong athlete and a better footballer than some on here give him credit for. He is still young and improving fast.

He will be an utter nuisance for any oppo players that is for sure. If his overall passing and decision making on the ball can step up to the same levels as his work rate he will turn into a diamond. I love his attitude and style.

To be honest I just don’t think our players are that attractive to other clubs. Problems with a NJ team is there’s a severe lack in technical quality and nowadays that’s the first thing most managers look for. Only players who would be desirable are TC has potential but his end product figures make him less attractive. Coventry has a 50% sell on to West Han so we most likely tell other teams to do one. Lloyd but he’s at a point where he has no resale value and in his prime he’s not even been proven at this level. Ramsay and Edwards are the only players from last season that I reckon have all the qualities and profiles teams would want in a player

For me no doubt about it.He is improving all the time,has a great engine ,just needs a little more composure on the ball.In the championship,there will be games when we wont have a lot of the ball,Karoy will be the one to harass the opposition and break up their attacks,i am sure he will be a vital member of our squad.
Karoy will be on the bench week in and week out and get plenty of minutes. Of that I have no doubt. He’s probably dropped down the pecking order a bit because of our Championship status and recruitment but he’ll be an important part of the first team squad and will improve greatly this term.
As I think someone else has said, Karoy is fantastic out of possession but less so with the ball. I thought he was great in the last dozen or so games mainly as a sub
I think there are some very unfair comments regarding Mason Burstow being made. When he left us for Chelsea he was 18 and had played 7 times in a basically poor side. Then back on loan for 9 more. He was raw and unready and it’s not his fault Chelsea came calling. Seems to me he’s being judged as not even that good when he left. Fair enough but was he any better or worse than Kanu or Mbick was / is at age 18 being thrown into league football ? I’d say absolutely not. Since then he’s played 20 games for Sunderland and 30 for Hull in the Championship. He’s still only 21 and perhaps he’s never going to improve but he just might because he’s already playing men’s football and has 50 games at a level we’ve not been at for 5 seasons. I don’t think we should sign him because I can’t really see the point with what we’ve got and in fact I suspect the rumour is rubbish.
I'd expect a 45/45 split again , will be interesting to see if we see Apter at all or if he's behind fitness wise. Not sure about Godden or Berry obviously they're out there but they seem to be doing their own thing.

If it blocks the way of a more consistent player then I wouldn't want us to get him.
