Looking at those from last years u21s that aren’t in this squad, these are the lads likely to have been released:
Seydil Toure (was very injury prone) Mason Hunter Harvey Kedwell (confirmed it himself) Ryan Huke Patrick Casey (has cleared his instagram)
Pretty sure these lads were 2nd year scholars and aren’t in that squad : Jude Sadler Ethan Cann Manu Wales
Purely speculation and I’m surprised the club haven’t announced the released/retained list yet.
Posters here (especially the Irish contingent) were drooling over Casey coming of age for a year or more. Long before Mbick was a twinkle in Nathan's eye. Casey was a prolific goal scorer.
I know he suffered an injury. Was it that which has put him out of the running, or did he think he would do better elsewhere without competition from Mbick?
I am surprised if Huke and Wales have left because we are short of creative midfielders.
But then we were told Toby Bower had gone but he popped up against Oxford City.

I can't find it but someone posted a document which I think comes out every year on the FA website which shows the players under contract at each club, and who's been offered a new deal (or not). Can anyone find it?
I think Bower and Hobden had been offered contracts, so from them playing today I think we can assume they've signed new deals. Pretty sure it showed Toure and Huke as well as Kedwell had been released. Hunter I believe was still under contract according to that list.
Casey signed a 3 year deal in 2023 so has another year to go, so I don't think he's gone. I think he was injured late on last season, so may still be out?
You're right on Sadler, Cann and Wales being 2nd year scholars. Someone might have said (or speculated) that Sadler had been released, probably further back in this thread. I'd be surprised if Wales didn't get offered a pro deal as he was regularly involved in the u21s in the second half of last season, even if he was only getting cameos off the bench most of the time.

I remember watching Bower against Chatham in pre season a few years ago and thought he was solid. Small but was Solly-esque in the way he played. Got a shot on the bench in the FA Cup 2 seasons ago too vs Cray Valley PM.
I know Casey was injured. Knew he signed a longer contract but didn’t realise he had another year left on it. Weird that he’s cleared his Instagram page. Was very involved in it showing off his cars and bling.
Wales looked decent last year - if not a bit lightweight (I mean, kids bulk up at different stages).
The players mentioned above could just be at different stages of pre season a bit like the men’s team last week. Just a shame that we are having to speculate as opposed to it being announced by the club.

Thought I'd check for the three named on the Oxford City team sheet that appear to be new u21 signings.
Ty Ewans-Findlay (assuming he's the same person as Ty Findley on the team sheet) is listed as a scholar at Cambrige, so perhaps we offered him a pro deal and he's taken that over staying at Cambridge Utd.
He was in their match day squad as a 16 year old just over year ago and is a CB. With Toure gone we need a replacement in the u21s if we haven't offered Ethan Cann a pro deal.
It's an EFL list, but checking Arsenal's retained list, Max Kuczynski was released, so we'd have been able to pick him up as a free agent. He's a left footed CB who can also play LB/LWB. This perhaps covers the gap left by Enslin being more involved with the first team or if he goes out on loan.
Paris Lock was released by Wimbledon. He's a 20 year old winger/striker and the son of our u21 manager Chris Lock. He made the odd appearances in our u21s last season despite being contracted to Wimbledon. I guess as a minimum, it gives us depth so players like Casey or Rylah could potentially go on loan, and Mbick and Dixon to either do the same or be part of the first team squad.

Chetam Ezentawa who was on the bench is only 15.

He was expecting that his son would go out on loan for the coming season.
He had been out out with a long term injury but looked very sharp as we watched the game.
