My expectation however is that we end up signing neither. Pleasantly surprised if we even get one of them. Absolutely delighted if we somehow sign both.
Haven't been able to follow this thread too closely this summer, but what's the feeling - general marks out of ten so far? I'm going with 7/10 so far, with 8/10 a possibility, as at least four of the signings were unknown names to me, but in Nathan I/we trust. Still room for a couple more before the ritual slamming shut?

End of the day it’s not our money, could we get better value for money most likely do I care as long as we get players in to help keep us above that crap league absolutely not

But I think that although Kerman might not be totally ready to make the step up to the champ yet, being able to learn off Godden for a season or two could make him come good. He’s still young, and from what i’ve seen has a fairly similar play style and build to Godden.

He’s still young, and from what i’ve seen has a fairly similar play style and build to Godden.
Agree but herein lies the rub. We need a striker now. Do we have money enough to gamble on him coming good and not spend it where it’s needed right now or does Nathan Jones see him as ready. 🤷🏻♂️
Surprised some wouldn’t be chuffed with Knibbs and Kelman. Think they’d be superb signings.
I don’t think we should read too much into their performances against us, just as others having a one off great game against us doesn’t prove they’re what we need, as we’ve seen with Fraser etc in the past.
They’re both goalscorers and we need more goals in the squad. Anyone who’s already done it in the Championship will be too expensive or on the decline, so any new striker is going to be a gamble.

i think Kelman was very good last season and orient fans are very complimentary. he looked excellent whenever I saw him... let's see. I dont know much about knibbs and didnt particularly notice him in our game at the valley

In both semi finals TC was in Jack Grimmer pocket but Tyreece Campbell will learn and best to judge players in more than one or two games when you feel they have some talent.

Hugo Ekitike, just had a solid season at Frankfurt - 23, same age as Kelman. Food for thought.
Doubt he'd be of interest to us because we've got Coventry to hold but Lincoln have left Ethan Erhanon out of their squad tonight because of transfer interest.... Will be interesting to see where in the Championship he ends up
I'd be happy if we signed Kelman but I could see why we might look at someone like Yates who's experienced at Championship level. Not a rumour just an opinion.
I get the appeal with Yates with his champ experience but I do wonder if he's someone that even at 28 is starting to be one of those players that would be decent in the Championship but far better off in League 1. Did hit 10 for a struggling Derby last season.

So good. Huddersfield fans seem to think it's them and if it is, based on their other signings and if Grant can get them playing, they'll easily go up.
