Surprised some wouldn’t be chuffed with Knibbs and Kelman. Think they’d be superb signings.22

Fair play for putting this bet in the public eye,ForeverAddickted said:Yeaaa okay... and I'll get Charlie Robert Martin Lee-Kelman tattooed on me dick if we sign him!!
It would have cost me an absolute fortune if I had lost this bet, 15 sessions to cover the whole thing wouldn't have been cheap

Well you definitely are a bit of a cock, so could see a full body tattoo taking that long.Braziliance said:

How accurate is this Kelman rumour btw, just mentally preparing myself is all.0 -
Wasn't there a rumour a couple of days ago that an MLS club was after Kelman? I'd be surprised if we could beat them on wages. Although of course it's entirely possible that if the wage difference isn't huge, he might not be fussed about moving over there.0
-
Call me a negative Nelly (or worse) but why don’t QPR want him?7

Yup linked to Charlotte FC , they had a bid rejected apparentlyChris_from_Sidcup said:Wasn't there a rumour a couple of days ago that an MLS club was after Kelman? What’s mad is that the outlay on Knibbs and Kelman would be more than many thought we’d spend on the entire squad. Both would/will be welcome additions and a further signal from the owners that they want us to compete.20
-
My expectation however is that we end up signing neither.mart77 said:What’s mad is that the outlay on Knibbs and Kelman would be more than many thought we’d spend on the entire squad. Both would/will be welcome additions and a further signal from the owners that they want us to compete.
Pleasantly surprised if we even get one of them.
Absolutely delighted if we somehow sign both.5 -

At the moment I think:
RB is a necessity
Midfielder / striker with x factor pushes this window into 2nd place behind SCP rebuild, on paper
On grass we'll have to wait and see but I really like the strategy so far1 -
Haven't been able to follow this thread too closely this summer, but what's the feeling - general marks out of ten so far? I'm going with 7/10 so far, with 8/10 a possibility, as at least four of the signings were unknown names to me, but in Nathan I/we trust.
Still room for a couple more before the ritual slamming shut?0 -
Or they are both shit and we are just putting it out there so Preston jump in and buy them lolmart77 said:What’s mad is that the outlay on Knibbs and Kelman would be more than many thought we’d spend on the entire squad. End of the day it’s not our money, could we get better value for money most likely do I care as long as we get players in to help keep us above that crap league absolutely notmart77 said:What’s mad is that the outlay on Knibbs and Kelman would be more than many thought we’d spend on the entire squad. Not sure if this has already been said. But I think that although Kerman might not be totally ready to make the step up to the champ yet, being able to learn off Godden for a season or two could make him come good. He’s still young, and from what i’ve seen has a fairly similar play style and build to Godden.9
-
All well and good but we need someone to score goals next season not take a couple of years learning off senior prosItalian_Addick said:Not sure if this has already been said. Agree but herein lies the rub. We need a striker now. Do we have money enough to gamble on him coming good and not spend it where it’s needed right now or does Nathan Jones see him as ready. 🤷🏻♂️Italian_Addick said:Not sure if this has already been said. I don’t think we should read too much into their performances against us, just as others having a one off great game against us doesn’t prove they’re what we need, as we’ve seen with Fraser etc in the past.Valley11 said:Surprised some wouldn’t be chuffed with Knibbs and Kelman. They’re both goalscorers and we need more goals in the squad. Anyone who’s already done it in the Championship will be too expensive or on the decline, so any new striker is going to be a gamble.4 -
Is there a better striker on the market who would be deemed ready, at a similar price range and age, who would also be willing to come to us on a perm?ShootersHillGuru said:

In Lloyd Jones's back pocket for basically the whole game. Would worry me against Champ CBs he'd barely offer anything.Todds_right_hook said:
Wembley?superclive said:i think Kelman was very good last season and orient fans are very complimentary. he looked excellent whenever I saw him... let's see. I dont know much about knibbs and didnt particularly notice him in our game at the valley
In both semi finals TC was in Jack Grimmer pocket but Tyreece Campbell will learn and best to judge players in more than one or two games when you feel they have some talent.

For this very reason I don’t expect TC to start on a regular basis next seasonsoapboxsam said:MarcusH26 said:

Hugo Ekitike, just had a solid season at Frankfurt - 23, same age as Kelman. Food for thought.Italian_Addick said:

Doubt he'd be of interest to us because we've got Coventry to hold but Lincoln have left Ethan Erhanon out of their squad tonight because of transfer interest.... Will be interesting to see where in the Championship he ends up9
-
I'd be happy if we signed Kelman but I could see why we might look at someone like Yates who's experienced at Championship level. Not a rumour just an opinion.2
-
yes admittedly he was quiet at Wembley, one game though.. so was godders to be fair and we know how good he is.6
-
My issue with Yates is that the only other side I’ve seen interested is Blackpool1
-
I get the appeal with Yates with his champ experience but I do wonder if he's someone that even at 28 is starting to be one of those players that would be decent in the Championship but far better off in League 1. Did hit 10 for a struggling Derby last season.0
-
So good. Huddersfield fans seem to think it's them and if it is, based on their other signings and if Grant can get them playing, they'll easily go up.MarcusH26 said:Doubt he'd be of interest to us because we've got Coventry to hold but Lincoln have left Ethan Erhanon out of their squad tonight because of transfer interest.... Erhahon is a champ quality player, would love him here.1 -
