When someone says "I'm hearing..." does this mean they've heard from a good source or that they've heard the same rumours put out by someone on a forum???
if we did get kelman.. then we'd have tanto leaburn Campbell godden kelman kanu/mbick
all fighting for 2 places..that seems alot to me.. could we sell someone ? Campbell would seem the most obvious, not sure on his contract situation? final year, cash in?
i could see Jones liking a Tanto/Leaburn partnership
Last few months of last season Campbell was pretty awful , he seemed to have been found out and had no plan b to his game , watching pre- season again not really seem him.. think this is a concern going into the season ??
It seems perhaps more than just a loss of form with TC....... he seemed to lose acceleration and sharpness, which to my mind suggests he was carrying an injury or niggle of some sort?
Either that or plain fatigue - he'd trained himself hard all through the previous summer pre-season; plus the NJ training and game plan is based on hard graft.
Our season didn't finish until end of May, and then he was almost straight away to the Jamaica squad, before beginning pre-season at Charlton once again.
He may still be only 21, but he's had no proper rest.
Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman on whether Luton Town should sign Kelman - "The answer to this is an emphatic yes. Charlie Kelman would be a massive coup for Luton..."
A deal that winds up both Orient and Luton fans? Incredible scenes.

Preston: We'd like to welcome Charlie Kelman to the club

Apart from forums, I haven’t seen us linked with Kelman..
I am not sure he is a championship player. From what I have seen, he is slow, touch not that great, not very good in the air. Looks an okay finisher.. I am sure someone going to send some stats on him.
I think I get what you’re saying here. Neither Kelman or Godden are the sort that will beat 3 men and smash it home from 25 yards. They are both sniffers.
Godden works defenders really hard but it’s all about his instinctive positioning thst makes him what he is. I notice with a lot of Kelman’s goals last season he was in the right place to finish rather than creating it himself.
i must admit I am warming to Kelman a little more but still have concerns it’s too big a step for him. I wonder if we’ll find out soon
I suppose every player has to make that step up with every career progression and he’s proven he can do it at League One level. A gamble but I think a calculated one.
Quite amusing that we've been linked with Galbraith, Kelman and Donley from that Orient team, with Wellens saying that Ethan wasn't interested in joining us because of the way we played.
I would expect that to put Donley off as well. Him and Galbraith are players that are best with the ball at their feet, which will happen a lot more if they play for other championship teams than will with us, and both are good enough to get that interest
Kelman is fine, he runs in behind, runs channels and presses. Will be fine fitting in with how we play
Rob Apter is also a player that is best with the ball at his feet...... he played against us twice all season and knew how we played. It didn't put him off from signing though.
With Donley who also played against us a few times, Spurs may be thinking that with Charlton, he can learn the hard graft, pressing and gritty competitive side of the game.
Think how Scott Parker went to Norwich on loan as a boy with potential - and came back to Charlton, oven ready for the Premier.
I live round the corner from Orient's training ground in Chigwell, and there have been no obvious signs of protests or burning of effigies, but I'll keep a close watch and update
