I’ve blocked out May in mine and the wife’s joint calendar for the next five years with ‘no chance’ after this years debacle. Not making that mistake againForeverAddickted said:Just as a reminder... Dont want anyone accidentally booking a Holiday again...

I get not liking him, but hating him is a bit much unless he's rattled your team personally.NomadicAddick said:
Tbf I totally get why people don’t like him…but when he’s your gaffer he is fucking fantastic. I really think if he gets it right with us over the next few seasons his stock can rise again. That could mean him back in the prem…with or without us but bloody hope it’s with!MarcusH26 said:
Nathan Jones rattles the entire league it seems. The amount of clubs that seem to absolutely detest him is hilarious.ValleyGary said:I just love the fact that little old Charlton have rattled half the league
if we wanna stay up this season this is an attitude that fans and players need alike…
He can be a bit odd and loud but he ain't an absolute wanker like Evans1 -
Loving the excitement and enthusiasm around the club right now4

Do enjoy seeing these kind of comments. So many expect us to spend nothing and go back to L1.

Not sure on Kelman but definitely happy we're getting in another striker and continuing to spend. I'm always nervous of strikers who have had one good season because I remember Nicky Ajose who reverted so aggressively to type when he signed for us. I do also remember players like Grant Holt and Rickie Lambert who took a while to figure things out but then went on to use their momentum to play at the top level. It's impossible to say which Kelman is but it's encouraging that we're trying to pick up the player who looks like the most natural successor to Godden in the Football League. If he signs we'll just have to see how he gets on but a younger version of Godden coming off the back of a good season is definitely a logical choice3

Little ol' Charlton throwing money around like confetti... what is going on!?7

I reckon Kelman deal might happen.18

To be fair I get it... Given this will be our third year with our current owners, and this is the first time we're showing our strength in the transfer market.Scoham said:Do enjoy seeing these kind of comments. So many expect us to spend nothing and go back to L1.
I get the strategies until now, stabilising the club etc. but imagine its left those on the outside with false impressions of what we can do, partly because there has been no evidence to suggest otherwise.
I mean its even left a lot of us surprised.1 -
Conservative estimate not knowing exact fees this would make it £8m spent? Assuming the QPR fans are right with £3m.1

Orient fan re Kelman:
Can’t see him going anywhere until QPR have had a good look at him.25 -
I’d like to personally apologise to Linfieldos and the guy who leaked this on the other forum. I was wrong to doubt you. They have been added to the ITK list.13
-
Am surprised they've not had a good look at him... He reminds me of Karlan Grant in a way, both of them never really got given serious minutes for their parent club, but excelled when they went out on the right loan.up_the_valley said:Orient fan re Kelman:

You'd have thought that QPR would at the very least keep him until January, just to see if he could replicate the form and confidence he's no doubt got from last season.3 -
Depends on how much we’ve depended on him . Good financial business doesn’t always mean good footballing business.Mendonca In Asdas said:If we sold Kelman for 10 million in a years time, would people be upset?1 -
If add ons kick in , a lot more than that I expect .MarcusH26 said:Conservative estimate not knowing exact fees this would make it £8m spent? Assuming the QPR fans are right with £3m.0 -
They wanted to keep him but he was set on signing for us.ForeverAddickted said:

2-0 defeat to Watford with no shots on targets will destroy that, don't worry.3G said:Loving the excitement and enthusiasm around the club right now
You party pooper realist.🤦🏻♂️
Let the damaged fan base have sweet dreams of having decent owners who will spend money now we are in the Championship after the last decade or so of the never ending dystopian nightmare which became a reality.
The ambition this season at least initially is to garner points and be nearer mid table and anything else is a bonus.
Enjoy the Journey in the Championship wonderland because every victory or even the draws should be celebrated; "must win" no more but we go out to win.

I think Ronnie has been hacked. This is far too sensible for him!RonnieMoore said:
Because they had to spend it on getting a structure in place and a foundation to build the club on and move forward after 12 years of neglect and assist strippingForeverAddickted said:Why couldn't the owners put this sort of money in place last season?
Would have made things a bit easier...

Only on CL can we be having a conversation about selling a player we haven't even (quite) bought yetBedsaddick said:
