I dont recall too many protests over the last few years. Any plastic pigs or taxis thrown onto the pitch? Have any fans gone over to where Chansari lives & disrupt his evening out ? Any mock funerals ?
I may have missed them being down south & not being reported locally.
I thought this as well. Spoke to an Owls fan mate of mine and asked him what action fans are taking, the extent of protests etc. “No-one’s buying the new replica kit”, was the reply.
Because they're following our lead and trying to hit the owner in the pocket. Plenty been boycotting games too, according to my Wednesday supporting mate. If their protests aren't getting the publicity ours did, maybe they don't have a CAST equivalent and aren't as well organized. Doesn't mean they don't object to Chansiri's stewardship and that's certainly the message he's got if you read his views on them.
For that to work it has to really make Chansiri feel it in the pocket. Our problem was RD’s pockets were too deep to make a dent in them.
i always felt the most impactful action taken against RD were the protests in Belgium for him to experience first hand and also local media coverage which no doubt embarrassed him.
Sheffield Wednesday did cheat and that’s Chinsiris fault. They didn’t get a timely punishment. That’s the fault of The EFL. What’s got to change is that football needs to eradicate these unscrupulous owners willing to cheat and run clubs like playthings at the expense of anything and everyone else. Very sadly it might take the demise of a great and famous football club like Sheffield Wednesday to make the rest of English football sit up and do something. Again sadly I doubt it will make one iota of difference. Football is basically a disgusting sport these days. Greed and more greed have ruined it.
And we, the fans, are the ones that get punished. Normally at the expense of lining pockets.
As much as I despise Sheffield Wednesday and with good reasons. I appreciate how important clubs are to communities, especially absolute slums like Hillsborough. I'd rather spend a week in Gaza than a Monday morning in that hovel.

He'll have the last laugh.
He'll pop his clogs before too long, hopefully, so it may be a brief laugh.

And then his son will take over who we know very little about.
I actually wrote an e mail to The EFL this morning saying I thought that it was a disgrace that they hadn’t issued a statement on the situation so that the Sheffield Wednesday fans had an official understanding of where things were. I received the reply (below about an hour ago)
Word salad saying nothing.
The club is not paying staff, HMRC or clubs they owe transfer fees to. Surely that is worth more than a transfer embargo. When a new owner comes in they need to show that have adequate funds & source of those funds. If Chansari cant do that then they need to act. Whether that is a points deduction, relegation, being thrown out the League I dont know. But simply saying "nothing we can do" is a crock of shit
So you want them to just start making up rules?
No......but they could tweak them to be in line with what they do for a new owner. Sustainability of funds. At the start of every season each club must show that they have the resources to get through the season. I'm sure something like this is in place anyway. I'm sure @bobmunro can confirm.
And if the rules aren't in place then put them there. It might be too late for SW but it will stop another club going down this route.....or we will be saying the same next season when Leicester, Wrexham or some other club gets into trouble.
How many club owners do you think will vote to further restrict what they can spend and how they run their clubs. Because that is the only way to change the rules.

Bloke clearly loves the club and at his age probably couldn't be arsed to move elsewhere for 1-2 years.
He has publicly said that he wants non playing staff to be paid before he takes a penny.
He obviously loves the club and I reckon he would take £7k a week in this situation and at this point in his career.
he could easily have ran to Wrexham for £20k plus but has decided to stay and fight. Fair play
