This is the best result for both Gassan and CAFC.
His wages will be too high for a permanent move even if he does well.
All transfers are punts up to a point but the deal Ahadme received with the long contract and the wage did seem excessive for his record.

We are paying most of his wages but that is the reality of Football life in the top 3 divisions when a transfer doesn't work for a variety of reasons. The bigger club normally takes a hit. Its never a level playing field in Professional football.

I have always been envious of anyone who gets a pro football contract and I wish him well and hope he's a success.
  • Good move for him, all the best Gas!
    And us.
  • Sometimes it just doesn't work out between the two parties. Too bad. All the best to Big Gaz! Reckon he'll do fine in a League One midtable scrap.
  • Scored for Stevenage
We should never have got rid, I always knew he would come good sooner or later  :*

    Good for him.
  • Pleased for him but he has found his level.

Way things are going Stevenage will be a Championship side next season.

Pleased for him, I know it probably won't happen.. But I'd love a phoenix from the ashes tale ala Naby Sarr.
I think he could do well in league one but as he has no pace he is very unlikely to succeed higher than that.greatvto see he scored today
Plenty here wrote him off when WE were in L1.
To be fair, it will take a lot more than one goal to prove them wrong!

    And rightly so

Because he scored one bundled goal in 19 and we were appalling .  Do you want him back ?
  • He’ll be like a new signing when he comes back from his loan.
  • Scored 90 seconds into debut as an 81st minute sub!
    In which teams net?

  • More goals than Kelman this season…. 🫣
  • Not surprised to see him succeeding at the stadium named after him, a Lame Ex
  • Scored for Stevenage
Good. Hope he keeps it up so we don’t have to pay him off to get rid.
  • Fingers crossed he has a season like Kelman and we can then sell him for 3m next summer..........

Pleased for the lad. What is interesting is the loan players we give to clubs seem to be the best players at those clubs. I'm sure that is the target for Ahadme.

I will say for Ahadme that while you can question if he ever had the quality we needed (and the answer to that question is no), I have never heard anything that suggests his attitude was bad or that he was anything other than professional.

I genuinely do hope he manages to reinvent himself and start playing again, just hopefully not in a Charlton shirt.
I'm not even sure he's as bad as everyone makes out. As an entire team we were bad last season before December, and yes i know he was a part of that but our play was poor, we looked generally lost and we created very little. But had he got minutes in the second half of the season team i think we'd have seen a much better player. Good luck to him on loan.
He couldn’t have conjured up mobility or a first touch. I wish him well on loan .

Our fans have conjured up a first touch for Leaburn and have made it a realty in their minds so I am choosing to do the same for Ahadme
