It's walkable, just under 30 minutes I'd say, although I've only done it once.

It’s a bit of a hike, probably about a 45 min walk but with one lung it might be more like 60! There’s a couple of pubs en route if you do walk it.

If you’re getting the bus traffic can be a little heavy close to kick off so maybe get to North Greenwich a bit earlier (don’t forget that match is another 12:30 kick off).

It is walkable, but I would give yourself an hour and a half to do it so you're not rushed and pushing for time, and can actually enjoy the walk, and make it the ground with plenty of time to spare.

I’ve done this a lot, but I stop in The Pilot on the way (10 minutes walk)! After that it’s 30-35 minutes walk depending on your walking speed. Beers always good in The Pilot!

It’s about 25-30 min walk or go to bus stop A and it’s about 10 mins on the 180, 472, 161 or the 486 from bus stop B

I often get the bus to the River Ale House and then do the short 20 mins or so walk from there

Enjoy the walk through the forgotten industrial estates of south east London!

Get an Uber, that 9 minute journey looks much more appealing.

I used to live on the peninsular overlooking the Pilot and walked it regularly. Its certainly doable. There are also busses you can get but given the traffic on match days once you get to IKEA they take about the same amount of time as walking. Depends on your fitness etc whether its worth it.

Just get the bus, dude. Works fine. Stop A or B.

That's the way I'll be going

It's a much nicer walk along the river, than along Bugsby's way. Slower though, so better for a leisurely post match stroll.

It started off being a half hour walk, then 45mins then an hour and a half, it might be best if you set off now.
  • River Ale House just announced now opening at 10am for these early kick offs -  venue for both pre and post match beers

It’s definitely more than half an hour

I’ll be doing it Saturday (the bus that is) train ticket is less than the parking  let alone fuel on top and I can have a beer and no rush back with the early ko

you can cut through the macros car park and shave off a couple mins. But they do lock one set of gates in the evening so if you stay for a few pints you might get in the carpark but find you cant get out the other end!

If you walk it and leave enough time, go along the Thames River Walk for the first part of it at least.

Or a good walk is from NG to The Pilot, then from The Pilot to ASDA/McDonald's/Popeye's for a snack, stop off at the R.O.D for another pint, then to The Valley, breaks it up a lot more
  • Bus from North Greenwich is very easy, I often do it for evening games coming from work.

I know you're joking, but I more so mean they won't be rushed trying to make kick-off.

Personally I hate having to walk somewhere within a time frame just to arrive on time. Makes me feel unsettled.

People saying it is half an hour when it definitely isn't unless you've got the burners on and take a few short cuts.

It takes me about 40m to walk but I read as I walk.  If I was using my normal walking pace (4mph), it's about 30m.  If I was in a hurry, 25m, as I can't keep up 6mph for the full two miles.

The walk along the river path is mostly very pleasant and not really much further than the direct walk along the road which is quite unpleasant.

Comfortable 45 minutes for about two miles. No chance of being held up by traffic!

Did this for every game (with a quick stop at the pub for a quick pint) when I used to come on my own.

Bus can sometimes get stuck in Saturday shopping traffic so allow a bit of time - maybe 45 minutes :) - if you want to be sure!

Depends how fit you are :) I'd bus on the way to the game, and take a leisurely walk back via the scenic route (and/or the pubs) .

Yep, often walk to and from North Greenwich tube. Always go via The Pilot Pub, one of my favourite London pubs.

Usually jog it in from there, but go long way round.

I usually get a lime bike/scooter from the Valley to North Greenwich station, they have them parked up along woolwich road or outside the station. It is the quickest way out of Charlton if you miss the train and queues build up.
