I guess that was my point. Wouldn’t you just say ‘pumps’ if that is what they mean?charlton4ever said:
More pumps? Someone with 3 hands?valleynick66 said:Just curious what exactly is ‘extra pouring equipment’ that the article references?1 -
Could it be something in the back room to speed the pumps up too?0
-
Hopefully it’s guys with ‘Backpack pourers’ - so much quicker - 30 seconds a pint1
-
Someone with the ability to use 2 hands would be an improvementcharlton4ever said:

That chip shop is great, I'd always go in there after a night game before getting the 54 home.jose said:A couple of non alcoholic alternatives are the nice little cafe in Charlton Park, or buy a bottle of water in the Co - op in Charlton Village and then get a small portion of chips in the Charlton Village chip shop. If raining eat the chips under the sheltered bit at the back of the Co-op.
Alcohol in a hip flask if needed.
The wedges used to be nice as well.0 -
Not just pumps but also probably the coolant, the couplers, more gas, possibly bigger/better generator etc etcvalleynick66 said:

Strange it’s not something they thought to do before. But it all helps I suppose.0 -
I think they pay the club to occupy its bars rather than the other way around. I don't know if the club receives a % of the income.ArmchairAddick said:Be interested to know if the club are now being charged more for this by G&G. Was the original contract for far too few resources? Or have G&G just been taking the piss in trying to eke out every last penny?1 -
Pre-poured pints will help with the wait time. But with the skillset involved, I can just see them sitting there from tonight, tasting a tad warm and flat come tomorrow!0

- pre poured
- I'll wait
😆1 -
Two queues, those that want to be sure their drink, however foul tasting, is all from the same pump (waiters) and those prepared to take a chance on snakebite4
-
Whole new bar open in the NU and a lot more people behind the ramp0
-
Not seeing pre poured in AC stand but queues seem to be moving quicker0
-
The beer is coming out faster, which helps a lot.

Much better in Fan Zone today in terms of speed of service. Beer in 3 or 4 mins as opposed to 30. They had pre pours ready to go. Good stuff. Hats off to Gavin Carter for swift action.4

Agreed much better , more staff, pre poured and seemed better trained. Let's hope its not a one off. Well done Gavin and club for listening5

Noticed the fan zone was being advertised as being open at Half Time yesterday…
did anyone utilise this? How was it?How did it work with tickets and ground re entry?1 -
I wondered the same...would be great to hear of anyone's experience of using it?sammy391 said:Noticed the fan zone was being advertised as being open at Half Time yesterday…

I noticed that fans were let out to the Fans Zone at half time for a drink and bite to eat. Seems like a good idea to relieve the queues in the west stand.2

This is a very good idea, hopefully they'll make this a permanent fixture.

Feeling groggy again after just a few pints there. Mate there said he saw staff just top up an IPA with any lager to get it to a pint.
Anybody else have a similar feeling? Think I'll enjoy the fan zone with a bottle of water next time.0 -
If that did happen that really needs reporting back to the club_uptheaddicks said:Feeling groggy again after just a few pints there. Mate there said he saw staff just top up an IPA with any lager to get it to a pint.

When you walk past the place there is usually somebody on a mic shouting unintelligable stuff and something purporting to be music playing which is a bit like a continual beating over the head with a tin tray, but it drowns out conversational interaction.
I walk quite quickly past the area because to me it stinks to high heaven, however some people mysteriously seem to frequent the place so it probably has some appeal to what is a bit of a captive clientele.6 -
