I think you’ve managed to snatch a negative from the jaws of a positive, so to speak, Dazz.Dazzler21 said:

I think it's better to be having lots of shots but without converting as at least to a certain extent its genuinely bad luck to have managed 20 shots and not one goal. The alternative is going back to the end of Holden/all of Appleton times where we could not even create any chances of note.JamesSeed said:

If we sort the goalscoring out I think we are top 101
-
It's not, because the only stat that matters is winning the game.JamesSeed said:

On our finishing, I see it as a positive we created so much against a team who were in the PL last season.
Keep creating and we’ll start scoring a few goals. With our defending 1 or 2 will usually be enough to get a win and if not a draw.
If we keep missing then we have goalscorers we can bring in to start such as Knibbs, Godden when fit etc.
We’re a threat at set pieces as well as from open play, so it’s not as all our chances are coming from one player or one type of move.4 -
As well as we played, for some reason it pains me knowing that in reality, Leicester started the game with two 16-year-olds.0

NTT20 verdict was that we did deserved to win and only didn't because their keeper had a great game. Highlighted our clear style of play, chance creation and the ref blowing for soft fouls at corners10
-
They really salivated about the quality of the goal too. One moment of magic beating the better team.fenaddick said:NTT20 verdict was that we did deserved to win and only didn't because their keeper had a great game. It was their singular (imho) piece of true attacking quality that they had and, by a player that could cost a PL team (if potential valuations are to be understood) as much as over three times of our COMBINED spend in the entire summer window.killerandflash said:

We should have been more clinical in taking at least one of our chances, but relegated PL sides who still have PL quality players have players than can do this. When promoted sides go into the PL, they easily spend £100M+ and this was part of Leicester's spend - had it not been for a severe injury last season, the lad would have played more games and probably elevated his value even further.
He was the one constant threat that genuinely looked a level above us. We are going to come up against more players like Fatawu this season, but, as others have said, the result here was determined by an moment of top class. We should have absolutely taken at least one of our chances to get something from the game - the save from Coventry, in the context of the game, is just as impactful, if not the same "quality" as the Fatawu finish.
On the balance of the game, I was disappointed to not get any points from the game. Players playing below their level have the ability to carry a result from a moment of brilliance and particularly in situations where players can grab a vital goal. There's always going to be mitigating factors or things we could have done better. It's hard to stay too salty about it - I've watched the goal a few times now and it really is top drawer. Like anything like this, you want to control your controllables and look at our lack of cutting edge.
Sometimes football is like this - when you watch enough games, you know sometimes it isn't going to be your day and we should have got more from the game.5 -

Not sure it's that irrational honestly, as fantastic a job as he's done for us if he was at another club we'd find him extremely irritating I've no doubt.Callumcafc said:

I admire his abilities and achievements don't get me wrong but on a personal level I can see why he rubs people the wrong way.0 -
Maybe i'm missing something here, but i can't understand why he rubs people the wrong way, other than he just knows what he's doing and generally gets it done, i'm sure there are lots of clubs and supporters out there would love him as their manager...thenewbie said:

We would absolutely have taken the piss out of any manager that celebrated a win like he did the play off semi finalthenewbie said:

And let’s not forget a fair few of our fans were building up a hatred of some of the stuff Jones was coming out with in interviews, so it’s no surprise it annoys opposition fans when we are doing well, like it annoyed our own when we weren’t1 -
A lot of Luton Fans still love him; all I hope is that he doesn't make the same mistake and stays with us, rather than jump at the first big club that comes sniffing.thenewbie said:

I prefer that to being patronised as ' Little old Charlton'. As Machiavelli says in a different context, 'It is better to be feared than loved'.Callumcafc said:

That narrow one nil loss . Looks a bit tastier following Leicester’s performance against Birmingham1
-
Didn't have Leicester to be leading the three relegated sides at any point this season (still be above the other two even if they both win at weekend).KiwiValley said:That narrow one nil loss . Looks a bit tastier following Leicester’s performance against Birmingham
If we win today, we're above Birmingham. Before season started, any of us would take that after 4 games.

Fatawu scored a similar goal v Birmingham last night. Hard to believe the goal against us was his first for 15 months or so I was told.0

Scored against us and no doubt though he'd have a pop against Birmingham, show it wasn't jut a one-offAddicksAddict said:Fatawu scored a similar goal v Birmingham last night. Hard to believe the goal against us was his first for 15 months or so I was told.

Perfect timing if he's trying to attract PL clubs before the transfer window slams shut...0

In his QPR post match interview, Nathan Jones says that they got info back that the refs made a mistake in the lead up to Leicester's goal... he as much said they'd had an apology from reffing body0
