This is a fucking disgrace.
I am now trying to think of a way round this. There has to be.0 -
Gonna be annoying for all the Millwall in the home stands.37
-
I do think policing of football fans in general is getting more heavy handed. Cardiff v Swansea used to be the only bubble game but now we have the south coast derby too, police in general seem to be more happy to intervene in things now too. Not the individual officers fault of course but do think maybe they've been given some different instructions1
-
As with the other thread, let’s keep the protests / marchs off the topic stray list please.1
-
Absolutely ridiculous. How on earth are the Millwall fans in the East Stand and Covered End going to be able to get to Floyd Road with their mates?3

Doesn't make it right, if I were still in Blighty with my old hat on I’d be working watching SYL & his goons anyway so would miss the game.
It’s bollix and it’s because we are deemed nicer than them so they can treat us like shit. It has been ever thus 🙄😡
As I said.....time for placards & flags.2 -

Didn’t you, @castrust? And what about the invisible Fan Advisory Board with its supposed no-nonsense members we voted in?I sometimes think that when we become “football fans” we somehow surrender our right to remind the police that they serve us, and we pay their sodding wages.

Used to use the mounted to divide the roads so both sets could use. I’m guessing the mounted are all up town dealing with the weekly nonsense by the great unwashed. Blame them not the old bill, only so many of them to police all the football/protests that is happening in the capital on Saturday.
We really are a police state.1 -

Because we have a right to protest in the UK and unfortunately some folk can’t do it peacefully they have to be policed. Then add to that whoever in the football authorities decide when matches go ahead without a thought of the consequences you have a recipe for pissing law abiding citizens off, royally.0 - Sponsored links:

A dispersal order will be in place for the area shown on the map above from 09:00hrs until 23:59hrs tomorrow to provide officers with additional powers to deal with crime and antisocial behaviour. Anyone engaged in such activity can be directed to leave the area or face arrest.

Prague has made a good point about Mick not being there anymore.
But I’d wager (as like the lock in last time) he would have had his objections noted in the minutes and they would have just done what in their eyes is easier.
I’ve always hated the way football fans are policed which is why I tried to change it as much as I could at Millwall when I was there. But there are a lot of stakeholders who decide these things and someone always has to compromise.3 -

Team doesn't stand a chance.
If the players can't get up for tomorrow with 20k cafc fans behind them then it's a question of bottle or ability....not rerouted exit routes.
It's annoying, muggy from the club but it is what it is.
Makes sense to get millwall out and away from the area and a tiny train station with plenty of potential flash points on a day the police are stretched with loads of London derbies and non football stuff.
Annoying and inconvenient and spineless from the club but that's the reality.
They've taken a pragmatic view even if it's not fair and not right.
They've not done it to mug off charlton fans.
Let's get some perspective...it makes fuck all difference to the outcome of the game.4 -

The least our club can do is the give all Addicks a free drink in Crossbars after the match when they're being delayed in getting to their cars/station etc etc.
