Kairat Almaty players when they found out they’d drawn Real Madrid at home.

Kairat Almaty will travel 6918km to play an away game at Sporting Lisbon, the further a team will have ever traveled for a group/league stage game in the Champions League.

For context, here is how far some US cities are from London:

    - New York 5576km
    - Chicago 6359km
    - Atlanta 6776km
    - Dallas 7650km

Kinda ridiculous how a country who's Eastern border is with China is allowed to play in Europe. Money talks though, and as they were a part of the former Soviet Union they get in through that.

Union Saint Gilloise winning 3-0 away at PSV in their first ever Champions League match. Tony Bloom doing it again.

8 second half goals, with Juve scoring in 94th & 96th to draw 4-4.

Home side 4-2 down going into injury time and draw 4-4, seen that before somewhere.
  • That second Madrid penalty is an awful decision. There is literally nothing the guy can do to avoid that. I really do think the handball rule needs changing.

Well thats Spurs Villareal game was as dull as the Charlton Millwall game I sat through at the weekend!

Spurs by a fraction the better team first half but Villareal totally dominated the second.

Awful referee but to be expected.

4 clean sheers in 5 games, only 1 goal conceded.
I'll take that all day long after the last two seasons.

Typical Spursy, i needed BTTS but did think after they have tightened up this year so probably a bad shout by me. Nice first result and looking good this season for your lot (ignore Bournemouth result), i do see Chelsea slightly better but no reason why you wont fight for 4th-6th

Will massively depend on injuries.  Van der Ven (quoted last night) has the fastest run by a player recorded in a premier league match and a quality defener.  Keep him, Porro and Romero fit,  I think they will do well.

I personally think Porro is the weak link defensively. Got no issue with him going forward but when he gets dragged out of position so much.

I'd rather Spence on the right then Udogie on the left tbh in the majority of games.

Yep mostly to the back line, they have more depth this year and generally look good so far. I rate Chelsea's side slightly better but equally they could be battling for 4th imo
  • Great run and finish from Cole Palmer, got a game on here vs Bayern
  • I'm in Madrid today,  and have seen a surprising number of Bayern shirts. Do they know who they are playing? 🤣

It might just be be that Atleti are awful but Liverpool look scarily good going forward, Isak looks like he’s been playing for them for years

They will probably win 12- 2 in the last 10 mins
  • Feels like there's no jeopardy to them losing though.

It's so hard for the top clubs to fail to get out of the league stage now.
