Not expecting us to get anything but also not expecting a trouncing. Will be difficult but think people are overreacting massively to what we're up against. They've lost 6/6 games this season and I don't think you can put full blame on that on the manager. I'll go 1-0 Sheffield United in the type of game where we make it difficult for them
Unless Bree and Burke have miraculously raised their fitness levels to FULL over the last week I think NJ’s hands are a bit tied here. Hamer will come back in, the Dutchman is recognised as one of the best left sided players in the division. If Burke and Bree were both FULLY fit I would have played that combo against Hamer first half and then bring on Apter in the second half for one of them. That would have made us defensively sounder against their best outlet.
As I don’t think neither Bree or Burke are fully match fit yet, I think Bree more likely will do 60 mins at RCB and Burke will replace him in that position giving the RWB to a combination of Apter and TC. Apter is not frail defensively so may be ok but Hamer is another level to what has played against us so far down that side, so as I say would have preferred to start with a Bree and Burke combo.
Up top, I would probably go with Leaburn and Tanto. Power, direct and I think Tanto is ok in the air, if long balls will be launched (if ha ha) it’s about time we turned to players with greater aerial capability.
0-0 btw or 1-1
Neither Apter or TC are defensive wing backs so it would be suicidal having them marking one of the best left sided attackers in the division. Burke at RCB and Bree at RWB to start and try to prevent them scoring in the first hour. If it works we can attack them towards the end. If it does not then bring on Gillesphey to replace one of them and go to a back four with Edwards at left back to try to staunch the flow.
Hoping that Wilder will need time to rebuild his squad's style. I watched a video of them training this week, they looked disinterested and short of confidence. Wilder just walked around the training area while his assistants gave out instructions to the players, didn't look too harmonious at all.
I reckon we'll get at least a point. BUT, we must start scoring some goals
According to Wiki Burke is a CH or a left back, so cant see him taking Ramsey's place. I'd go for Bree as the replacement & Apter in his normal position. Anything else is folly.
Anyway, it wont matter. Like last week we are destined to fail. Blades to get up & running with a win.
Not liking the negativity on here, we've been the better team in 3, maybe 4 of the 5 games we've played so far and the other we were well on top until QPR scored on the breakaway. Tomorrow is the day it clicks.

3-1.
Burke’s right footed and played Ramsay’s position in preseason, I expect he signed as completion for Ramsay and Jones.
The obvious thing is to think there will be a massive manager bounce and a resumption of most of last season's form. However, and i don't know the answer, does Wilder have most of the players from last year to choose from? Was there a big turnover of players??? I'm fearing not and had assumed there was a bit of a downing of tools going on this season but who knows? - they did tail off quite a bit towards the end of last season.
I guess Bree will start in place of Ramsay as Jones likes his RCB and LCB to be able to bring the ball out and play. Bree looks more mobile than Burke but I can see Burke coming on with 20/25 mins to go.
Give Kelman another chance up top
Unfortunately I can't see us getting anything from this. 3-0 Sheffield United
Our record in Yorkshire? Wilder returning? Our lack of goals? None of this looks good for us. Nobody expects us to gwt anything out of this so we might just surprise them. Then again....3-1 to the Blades.
Loving the negativity here. It's back to the old times. We'll get one or two unexpected 1-0 wins away all season and be grateful for those. Sticking with 3-0 to them, 2-1 if we manage to control parts of the game.
Can't see anything but Sheffield United ending up with a positive goal difference come full time. Will be a result if can somehow limit them to only scoring 11 more goals than us.
A massively underperforming Blades are bound to be much better tomorrow. Wilder will make them much stronger at the back, the crowd will be up for it, and that positive energy will lift the energy of their players.
I'd be amazed if we get anything tomorrow, but if there's a day for parking the bus, it's tomorrow.
I think Burke starts in place of Rambo. I think he was brought in to be a RCB/CB and I think this game is calling out for him. That being said, I wouldn't be shocked if Bree starts...in place of Apter. It would allow us to bring on Apter against a tiring side which could be a real advantage and hopefully we can keep it close until the final 30. We know NJ loves his starters and finishers.

Hopefully a 2-0 win.
I thought Bree looked very good when he came on last week, so expect him to start

4-1 Kelman breaks his duck though.
Can’t see anything other than an away win.
Can't stand this pessimism for a game against an abject side, turn it in.
(It may be that the two bottles of cider I've just knocked off were stronger than I assumed)
