  • I'll be pleased if we can come away with a point.

It's imperative that we don't concede in the first 20 minutes.
  • 4-1 defeat - they will batter us.
    Shades of 97-98
  • Sounds like we shouldn't bother turning up tomorrow

I hate to say it but I’m convinced we’ll lose this . Bad timing again and a team that hasn’t found it shooting boots yet ( I know neither have Sheff Utd) . I’m expecting them to start their season so I’m going for a 2-0 defeat.
  • 1-2 to us coyr
  • I’ve never seen a more pessimistic match thread - we can get something from this if they play with the intensity they have been doing - COYR !!!!
  • Watch them beat us now because Wilder is back

    2-2.

Tyreece Campbell with a goal and own goal.

Tyrese Campbell with a goal and own goal.
If things go according to plan then I make that 0-4 to us
  • 0-4 kelman with 2. It's got to click st some point.

    Rather not...
We will give Wilder a bloody nose with their sixth straight defeat 0-3 will do nicely...

Hope you're wrong mate, including tomorrow five of our next seven games are away from home.

  • As a fan a point is great …as a team we can beat these but it really is down to kelman’s hunger in front of goal
  • I do think NJ has a few problems with selections to solve. I doubt if Knibbs and Tanto signed to be squad players but Tbf I don’t see where they come in. Perhaps try Knibbs in Docs position? We somehow need to be more creative. I’m nowhere near panicking whatever the result tomorrow but in another 5 games if we are still putting in great performances but not winning then I might start to worry
  • We are struggling to gel in the final third with the new players yet to settle down. The Wilder return will give them a massive boost and I hope our defence can do their job to stop them scoring.
A draw is the best I can see us getting tomorrow but I expect to lose this one.

Wilder won’t have an easier game all season.
  • Feels like Bramall Lane has always been a bogey ground.
Not good timing either with Wilder rolling back into town.
    Tough game.

My little family and I survived the long trip from Canada to the Faroe Islands, so I'm feeling a bit more optimistic now.

A dramatic injury time equaliser from Big Lloyd!
  • The forecast looks horrendous tomorrow. Very very heavy rain constant from 10am. Might not even go ahead! Wouldnt be the worst thing if we want to avoid being Wilders first game back - but we could do with not sliding any closer to the bottom 3.

  • We just haven’t had the rub of the green so far this season and the timing of this feels no different.

    Hope I’m wrong, COYR.

I think Burke starts in place of Rambo. I think he was brought in to be a RCB/CB and I think this game is calling out for him. That being said, I wouldn't be shocked if Bree starts...in place of Apter. It would allow us to bring on Apter against a tiring side which could be a real advantage and hopefully we can keep it close until the final 30. We know NJ loves his starters and finishers.
Just when we’re not scoring goals any goals, we take off one of our attacking threats .  If we play Bree with the team that started last week, we have TC with a bit of attacking threat and Carey who runs all day but no great finesse.  Our problem is not scoring goals so the last thing we need is another defender
  • I think it's got 0-0 written all over it. Wilder won't have been able to do THAT much with them and I think his first priority will be sorting out his leaky defence so barring any defensive errors I think that's how the pattern of the match will go. I can't see how they would suddenly produce an attacking masterclass and completely wreck us like some are predicting.
  • I just can't get optimistic. We'd have to actually finish our chances and surely they can't be as bad as they've been under Selles. Big home crowd , return of a club hero , players in their right positions and key players not benched for " tactical reasons"

Would love to spoil the homecoming but see it being 1-3 ultimately.
  • Mostly worried about the rain. Is there good drainage in Sheffield?
  • Both sides will be looking for a 1-0 win. My prediction is that one of the sides will win, or if they score the same number of goals, it will be a draw.
  • 2-1 to the Addicks
  • 2-0 defeat. We always provide the spring board for a new manager or a team off the back of a heavy defeat.
