Anyone managed to buy a match pass on Charlton TV for this? It s not showing as available despite me logging in from France?
Got straight in on opera's default location. (I've seen your follow up but someone might find this useful)
Proton VPN gave me NL and it won't work there.

Personally think we’re getting spanked today. Shef U are a playoff team minimum and with wilder back it adds that extra bite. Unfortunate that we had to be the first team to play them
Not sure why you got a LOL. Sheff Utd have a fantastic team and Wilder is a cheat code manager in this league. We don't stand a chance tbh.
What will possibly help is the fact that Wilder has only had a few days training with the team. Sheff Utd will want to impress their new Manager, but they won't get rid of their faults / issues overnight.

Waving the white flag, like many are doing, is a bit premature still
True, but Wilder already knows the players — their strengths and weaknesses. When Selles was in charge, he often played them out of position, which led to poor results. I’m just trying to be realistic about this match. We shouldn’t be overly negative, but there will be games this season where we get turned over, and this feels like it could be one of them.
And many of his players are still there from last season.
Of those that started the Play-Off Final, six have left.

Given their Defence is an issue this season, they've only got Cooper (Goalkeeper), and Burrows (Left-Back) who started that match.
  • Birmingham should be 0-1 at home to Swansea goal disallowed for offside but the Swansea striker was clearly onside .. another shocking decision
  • Reckon we’re gonna get absolutely pumped today.
  • This thread's more depressing than a Tuesday after a heavy weekend of raving.
    4-0 Charlton.
  • Not expecting us to get anything but also not expecting a trouncing. Will be difficult but think people are overreacting massively to what we're up against. They've lost 6/6 games this season and I don't think you can put full blame on that on the manager. I'll go 1-0 Sheffield United in the type of game where we make it difficult for them
I think you CAN put the full blame on the manager, Selles, who took a team of winners and turned them into losers, and what’s more is that their players are angry and going to be going all out to prove the results were Selles’s fault.

Wilder will have sat down with them, gone over what made them successful last season, reinstalled them with belief and determination in his methods, and the players will use their frustration of the time under Selles to good effect.

I really can’t think of a time that I’ve had less hope of a decent result in a league match. If we concede less than 4 I will be relieved.

Just read this. It’s a good point that I was admittedly unaware of. I suppose it depends on how much Wilder can get done in a few days. Also, it doesn’t just depend on who started their play off final but their whole squad. How many remain that he can depend on?
  • We don't tend to do very well there, although it seems Wilder started both his previous spells with a defeat.

I'd still like to see Kelman paired with one of the bigger blokes, but as TC put in possibly his best showing of the season last week I don't see that happening. In every match we've had spells where we've dominated and not made it count (bar Watford); something tells me we'll be under the cosh a bit more in this one, so don't be too surprised if we sneak something.
  • Not read all the posts so this will probably have already been mentioned anyway but always good practice to put up a reminder…

    Which one is it then?

Having the same issue from Germany. Has something changed?

  • I've got a bad feeling about this one, hope the lads don't underestimate them.
  • There are FOUR ticket checks to access Bramall today.
  • 5 games played they have 0 points with 1 goal scored and 12 conceded. Majority of posts here are saying we're gonna get beat  :D

Their poor run has to end somewhere, although I do take your point.

They must have been made aware of last Saturday and know how troublesome our fans are.

Putting a positive spin on it this means the home fans will be held back after so we can leave straight away.
    Right?

I’m viewing from Spain or Italy
  • Sadly, we will get battered today. Hamer is back and coupled with the new manager bounce, they will beat us.

We have put out a defensive team, so I expect the worst, but hope for better.

COYR - prove me wrong !

Mostly worried about the rain. Is there good drainage in Sheffield?
This isn’t L1 anymore and Sheff Utd are a recently relegated PL club. When’s the last time you saw a PL game postponed due to rain? The only Championship ground where drainage might be an issue is Wrexham but I assume the Hollywood owners will have invested into the pitch
Can't believe I got whooshed and then the Blackburn game got called off due to rain, I've had a nightmare
