Steak and kidney puddings with chips peas and gravy kicks the crap out of any kebab going. Downside no rock and chips only haddock. More ales than you can shake a stick at here, not seen Sheps for a while only Youngs spesh but no bottles of ramrod to go with it!

500+ to Carlisle is more than respectable....fair play to all those setting out at the crack of dawn on Sat, hope the trip is worth it.
  • We'll definitely be able to buy on the day right?

see absolutely no reason why not. You can anywhere else, as long as its not sold out.

Also hoping for tickets on sale on the day, I now call Lancaster my home, so it isn't too far a journey!

    nicky bailey

Very strange - check out Wyn's link, Carlisle fans do not like Nicky!
  • just looked on the Carlisle website to compare away support

    Norwich - 1014
    Southampton - 921
    Brentford - 511
    Pompey (midweek) - 569
    Macclesfield - 28 (JPT)
  • It seems that the Carlisle fans have a particular hate for our Mr Bailey and are organising a hostile reception. Apparently when he played for Southend he allegedly dived during a play off match against them which stopped them becoming a Premiership club, so we had better cheer him even louder.

  • Thought we'd shift a few hundred more to be honest... obviously 4 away games on the bounce is taking its toll, must admit I'm ducking Yeovil as I just haven't got the funds
  • In an effort to meet a few Lifers ( know lots of names now of course, but few faces ) I'm thinking a pre match white wine in the Rugby Club " just up the road " according to IC on the OS .

Anyone planning to be there ?

( OK, OK, guess you'll all be going elsewhere now you know my cunning plan ! )

Rugby club sounds ok, not bad turn out for us really, hopefully we get near the 700. Don't forget Southampton motivated by resentment of the deduction and for Norwich the novelty of meeting people from Whitehaven and Maryport was too good to resist. Don't forget Cumbrians have not only got close family ties but Sellafield too! Only time Norwich ever get to sing the family song de de de de dum dum.
  • All hail the Macclesfield 28!

Looking forward to this one, though getting up at 4.15 am is not my idea of fun. Hope the beer is cheap once we get to Carlisle station.

I'm looking forward to this as well as it's a new ground..not looking forward to 4.5 hr journey back though.
  • Good effort whoevers coming up from home. I'm at uni in the midlands so it's 'only' a 2 n a half hour drive. At least we get a roof this week though....

I'm in agreement with the Carlisle fans I'm afraid. Most games Bailey rolls around feigning injury, it hacks me off as much as McLeod's falling over when contact is made. Sort it out Parky.

The alarm is set for 4.40 - lets hope we have a good beer
  • Where are people heading for a pre-match shandy? I've seen the rugby club mentioned a few times.
  • Griffin by the station, then perhaps Rugby Club
