We found this poster tucked inside #cafc scrapbooks recently donated by Steve Sutherland.
Is that Rodney Stone, Charlton General Manager, writing on the back of the poster?
Charlton beat CF Lloret 5 - 2 with goals from Flanagan (2), Peacock (2), and P Davies.

I notice that Bournemouth are listed as ‘Bournemouth and Bos’. Fans of a certain vintage may recall that AFC Bournemouth were once ‘Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic’. I remember a match with them when their fans chanted ‘Boscombe’ rather than ‘Bournemouth’. Can’t imagine Brighton fans cheering ‘Hove’ somehow.0 -

Letters from our archive. Spurs lent Charlton some turnstile operators for the 1985 FA Cup replay but #cafc weren't happy with the "discrepancies" between the count and the money handed in by those operators. #thfc were having none of it.
