NBA 25/26 season (and fantasy league)

Hello, if a few people are interested I have made a CL fantasy league.
https://nbafantasy.nba.com/leagues/auto-join/w4y0a0

Every game, every night counts, so some nights you may have 6+ players (only 5 score), other nights 1 or 2. It evens out.

One tip - you get to pick your captain for one night per week, eg pick SGA at home to Utah or something. Last season I thought you picked a captain for a whole week...

The season starts on the night of Wednesday 22nd with Houston visiting KD's old team, OKC.

Also if you're not aware, Orlando are playing Memphis at the O2 on 18/1. Tickets aren't on sale yet.

Just bumping up for NBA fans as the Revolut early access ticket links go out next week and if previous pre-sales for gigs etc are anything to go by, would expect most/all of the decent seats to be snapped up early. The pre-sale is not limited to sales in the UK, so all incoming NBA tourist fans from across the major EU countries can also access the link.

Thanks. Have you seen how much tickets are via Revolut?

Bump also for the fantasy league 🙂

17th Oct (Friday) at midday. Prices should be standard rather than the premium pricing that NBA Experiences are charging. My O2 app says tix on pre-sale at 930 am tomorrow but this happened with the Weeknd pre-sale and I have to go in several days before they appeared. That said, when they did eventually show I managed to get some great seats. Good luck!!

Have just nabbed 4x tickets in block 107 for the game in O2 Priority pre-sale. Tix are going super fast - based on seating plan, either they are just releasing some or there are so many O2 customers that most tickets have already been sold. All courtside gone already so am behind one end probably 16 rows back.

As I say, could be O2 made available only a sub-set of the tix which is will be available. Hope so for all genuine NBA fans. c£500 per ticket for all lower tier seats btw…

Above is what they have left. Upper tier is £265 per ticket but had no more than 2x together and I needed 4. It is a piss take, when in the States the games are a fraction of this cost.

Thanks for the updates. Yeah that's basically price gouging, I won't be there. The nose bleed seats at the O2 are worse than US arenas too, as the O2's bigger.

It's not like for like (supply and demand and all that) but Orlando tickets started from $20 when I saw them last year. $120 got me behind the press area:

I hope all the big names are fit and healthy in January!

I actually looked to see whether using air miles + cash, + hotel, combined with tix at the Kia Centre would be cheaper but alas no… No Glastonbury next year so treating this as our one major family event and a bit of a rarity, we all love live basketball.

Is there a code for this league?

Also. My son and I have been to a few NBA games at the O2. The first one back in 2007 was Boston Celtics v Minnesota Timberwolves. I’m fairly certain that the tickets on the top tier were £5!! I’ve seen a few from the top tier, it’s too far away and we were often surrounded by non basketball people who didn’t have a scooby what was happening. Big event attenders.

In the 2012 Olympics we had tickets behind the posts for the USA v Argentina Semi-Final at £80 each. LeBron, Kobe, Wade, KD, Davis etc. I thought that was pricey, but the prices for 2025 is a piss take.

Agreed it is a bit of a joke, but looking how few tickets are left at pre-sale stage, either secondary market traders are taking a huge gamble on sweeping up loads of tix in the expectation of ridiculous demand or people (like me) are just swallowing it because they are fans of one or either side. Major venue pricing needs some regulation, it is getting out of hand these days.

lol should have learnt the rules properly before signing up for this. Didn’t use a captain for the first week and so will be playing catch up ALL SEASON!

Worked into early hours last night and caught second half of Magic vs the Trail Blazers. It was 112-112 with less than 2 seconds to go when the Magic played this out! Insane and just shows how quickly a result can change in this game…

Nice. They have not been a fun team to watch so far, Orlando.

Similarly this morning, Cleveland v Miami had a crazy ending. Donovan Mitchell thought his 3 with 0.4 to go had sealed it...

Miami are all of a sudden one of the most fun, fast teams in the league.
