Reading these threads over the last couple of years, means that I wouldn't contemplate train travel for long distance away games.

All this chopping and changing to get cheaper routes, then seemingly endless cancellations and having to reroute. Very stressful.

I know why people no longer use them, but to me the coach is far more reliable, and a lot cheaper. Have the beers when  the coach drops you off in SE London.

Anyway it's 30 degrees here in Denia, Spain and just bought the stream. Best of luck and well done to all of you making a Valiant effort. COYA!
To be fair, this isn't just a bit of "weather". A serious storm has hit the UK and Ireland, causing major damage.

Embarrassing. They can run trains in Siberia but a light breeze over here and it all goes to shit.
Got to love a false equivalence.

0840 is being cancelled from Wolverhampton.
Done you a favour there. No one wants to go to Wolverhampton.

Things can go wrong but they can on the roads too. Overall it’s a much better experience on the train and I use them a lot to go away. Easier to say today as I couldn’t make Preston anyway. Popping over to France for the afternoon instead.

Me neither - I reserve that for home games :)

Pretty sure that when the power cables to the trains are ripped down because of high winds they cancel the trains there too - difficult to run a train with no power going to the engine...

Probably need a new line built to reasonably modern standards. I wonder why no one has tried that?

Vanity project for the rich I'm afraid! Football supporters can just put up with the shit they are given. :)

Thought as a proper anorak I would look it up - according to Google the trains would run in Siberia but due to their war in Ukraine they just don't have the personnel to run them efficiently.

I’d quite happily be watching on a stream down at the marina or at the Jamaica Inn ☀️😎
