Another poor game that will be ignored because we lost after he went off.
Can’t moan about Arsenal as they won so TC is getting the vitriol instead
Yes I'm personally logging into all of my other accounts to do the player marks as we speak.

No way we were second best throughout. We were containing them quite well until the subs.

The problem for me wasn’t bringing TC off, it was not bringing Apter and/or Hernandez on.

NJ must understand what those 3 offer having so much faith in TC and signing the other two recently.

We need to evolve in the final third and just putting more height, pace and strength on hasn’t been as successful as it was last season.

Combine it with a wide player or two who loves taking players on - even if the end product isn’t there, it can also create more space for others, and make a team sit back more to avoid being countered.

Having Small and TC on either wing was arguably the most important factor in our improvement last season. As good as Bree is, he doesn’t offer a those strengths, and if you don’t start with that on both wings, at least end the game that way when you’re losing.
  • I want to see a confident and positive TC firing on all cylinders. He hasn't been that since his purple patch last season.
He is not getting on the end of things inside the area because of that lack of confidence and conviction.
He is hesitant in his runs, meaning he's always just too late to connect, or slipping over at vital moments, or getting out muscled by defenders.
We cannot carry on with the TC, Kelman partnership being so unproductive in terms of goals and something needs to change if we are to improve.
I get that his presence is a worry to defenders, but that isn't enough in itself, he needs to start producing.
Very poor passes, such as the one to Carey in the corner, just prior to his substitution actually put our defence under about five minutes of sustained pressure !
He needs time out and then be reintroduced as a sub when the game opens up. In that way, he can regain his mojo.

With TC on the pitch, we had an unproductive outlet. With him off the pitch we had no outlet at all.

I think that’s a good (and depressing) way of summarising it. Those calling for him to be rested/dropped ignore that we looked worse today with him off the pitch.

That’s because he was replaced by Leaburn not Olaofe / Apter / Hernandez.

More possession, more shots, more shots on target, higher xg, higher xa, more forward passes and higher pass completion.

They were absolutely better than us throughout.

The whole 'TC being on kept us from losing' line is so simplistic considering Preston's best chance was the header when TC was still on the pitch.

He come off today and we capitulated. His ability to peg the opposition back and draw two markers is invaluable to the way we set up. Unfortunately, he can’t play the way he plays all game, every game.
I'm on the fence with TC, I can see both "arguments".
However, there is no doubt in my mind that we were equal up to the point he was subbed and thereafter we weren't in it - yes capitulated.

I think the Derby game was not dissimilar.

Not in the game I watched.
We were at least equal if not marginally the better team in the first half.
The second half was reasonably equal although they were marginally better until we made the first subs.
As soon as we made the change I could feel they were going to score and we weren't in the game after that.

It was a similar game to the Derby game, but we were worse throughout.

Derby game they came back into it when we made the subs on 57 mins, not when TC was taken off on 77 mins

Yes, as soon as we made the first subs in both games.

Good for him to get the recognition but not so good for keeping him fresh and ready to go for us.

Their second game over this international window is in the early hours of Wednesday morning, so by the time he gets back it'll be Thursday. 1 day of rest and then we play Saturday.

Glowing praise for TC's performance overnight

    Tyreece Campbell -
The best player for Jamaica on the pitch by a mile. Majority of what we created going forward came through him and he came close to scoring a number of times. Also delivered a great pass to Nicholson, which Shamar should have scored. If there is any player that can leave this game with their head held high it is Tyreece Campbell. Here is a proposal. When Leon Bailey is back, put Cephas on the bench and put Campbell over there.
