I thought it was fine, a definite improvement on the old one. I am sure the replay thing will be improved, I hardly look at them myself, as I can see them ad-infinitum on my PC when I get home.

I think it looked good. The only gripes I had was that video got cropped to fit the screen rather than pillarboxed. Anything that's shot in 4:3 (ie older than about 2005-6) loses 75% of the picture, for instance. The players' names were easier to read and the scoreboard seemed brighter.
Fair point on the ratio for old videos but as others, not you, have failed or just don't want to grasp that is a fault in how it is being used, not in the screen itself.

The tweak in layout after the women's game shows they are still learning.

Because it is a new screen being added to an old build its size, in particular its height, is restricted by the stands and the steps. It couldn't be the size seen it new purpose built stadiums.

The old screen was a third of the size plus it was very old and being patched together, figuratively, with duct tape.

What we have is better even if it is not perfect.

Some cowboys called adi.tv did that on the cheap

It's also not much bigger than the screen we had at The Valley before

First time I've seen the new big screen. Very impressed. I was sceptical when I saw the mock up but think they've done a grand job.

Rather less impressed with the electric hoardings though. Too bright and distracting. It reminded me of neon nights at ten pin bowling; something to woo the little kids raised on e-numbers and constant screen time, but not for people who want to concentrate on the sport.

    Missed the last game.
Have to say from the west upper the new screen looks brilliant! Cannot complain. And teamsheets being read on the sponsor boards was nice.  Even read ‘come on you reds’ on the sponsor boards as we sung it.

My only complaint is the fish doesnt appear on the pitch side sponsor boards. Imagine the scenes. Imagine.

Sat Upper West since forever. Those new LED screens block bits of the pitch and sidelines for people sitting in the front rows. They come away from the wall a good five or six inches, so at the angle you're seated, you're losing part of the experience. And I'm not sure what we’ve gained.

I don’t think they thought about this impact.

The new screen itself is fine and a needed addition.

The new floodlights, though, seem like they need to be pointing down more. Three or four are directed straight towards the West Stand. I had spots in my eyes for a while after, as they left an afterimage.

I thought the boards looked great when the players came out, everything Red and the the players names all round the ground when they were read out, not seen that anywhere before, and the stair entrances in the west stand looked very good.

Agreed on the floodlights. They need to be adjusted, was distracting at times and considering sunglasses. Hope this is raised

Nice to see a full set of floodlights in working order at the Valley

Thought the ground looked great today with all the new LED boards put in, floodlights in full effect fully working and big screen looking good. All looking good, modern and energised well done the club.
