And then Eastleigh concede from the corner immediately afterwards.

Kanu playing for Walsall but Asimwe (?spelling) isn't.

That's right! He was at Walsall last season.

Wonder if he played against Gateshead yesterday in the defeat. I was thinking (when I thought he was still at Walsall) that we may not have allowed him to play in case we needed to recall him in January.

He stayed on the bench yesterday

I really like the look of Walsall's Clarke too.

    'A brilliant finish from Kanu'published at 15:29 GMT15:29 GMT

    Eastleigh 0-2 Walsall

    Matt Upson
Former England defender on BBC Two

It's a cracking finish. It's the first real time we've seen Daniel Kanu get any space and run. There was a back back between the centre-back and right-back for Eastleigh but take nothing away from the finish, he has to hit it early.

Evan Weir cushions the pass perfectly and it's a brilliant finish, high and into the net.

Could possibly have had a second, but his standing foot gave way just as he shot, so it went wide.

I'm not sure the BBC is ready for the loquaciousness of Daniel Kanu.
  • A certain M Bonne just come on as sub for Maldon and Tiptree who are losing 5-1 at Port Vale.

Chelmsford v WSM, hardly a glamour tie but what an opportunity to reach round 3, both in national league south

Hopefully not, given we’ve got Blackburn away on the 4th.
  • Weston-super-Mare away would be my choice
