It would hardly be a shock if he moves on in January, but I would expect him to still occasionally feature between now and then.

They aren't exactly going to say now that they don't plan to extend a players contract in a month, not going to motivate him to play well is it?

No one knows but it’s more a common sense thing  if a player doesn’t perform well or have potential they won’t get a new contract.

Has the build of a rugby league player.

Good at tracking back, not sure what else he has in his locker really. Doesn’t beat his man, doesn’t dribble, isn’t really an out-ball, think I can remember one cross.

    Thanks for plugging the gap.

Here today gone tomorrow, never to be forgotten,  old what's his name!
  • Sincerely hope he doesn't start tonight. Has looked lost in most games.

That can only go two ways - continues looking lost or improves with sharpness... We don't really have an option but to gamble a bit on him til January.

I've seen absolutely nothing to want us to keep him beyond January.

if he starts, i hope it is not in any defensive role, at some points during games I was thinking put him up front, partly because he can do the least damage, partly he can pass the all reasonably well.

If it was considered he was that overweight I would not have thought we'd have signed him, let alone play him.

Looking at him through the now-discredited BMI lens, his height and build would probably put him in the ‘obese’ bracket, which is exactly why nobody sensible uses BMI anymore, as it completely ignores muscle mass.

Being overweight doesn’t automatically mean someone’s out of shape, but in his case he does look more than a little on the curvy side.

Don’t think he’s overweight he’s just got more of an optimal bodybuilder build opposed to a footballer build. To me he actually looks quite fit the problem is he doesn’t seem to be very good at football

When I first saw him I thought Peter Garland had come out of retirement.

NJ has said his injury is “weeks rather than days” so it’s probable we won’t see him in a red shirt again

I thought when we signed him it had a whiff of the Joe Ledley and Lualua about it, an ageing player with past injury issues, free agent on the way down, thrown in without a pre-season, clearly declining, coupled with being nowhere near match fit, we have seen in the past that signing older free agents can work (Godden, Pratley, Berry last season) but to do so needs to be under the right conditions
