Absolutely gutted to hear this,  love and prayers to friends and family.

Not going to be the same going to an away match, and not seeing him, bless you, Charlton was better with you in it.

Awful, terrible news. His was the first name I thought of when the news broke it was someone well known to almost all of us.

Absolutely stunned, always saw him about and finally got talking to him while in the queue at Coventry arena station after the game last week.....doesn't seem real not even a week later he's gone

    R.I.P to a club legend

What a lovely man. Only a couple of weeks ago I was chatting to him on a bus. Such a a shame. My wife who didn’t know anything of him said at the time how nice he was.
    RIP a great Addick.

Known him for over 40 years but we never spoke...just another Charlton fan who, like me, went to games and then home again. So sad that today he didn't make it back to his friends/family. RIP to a legend.

Someone you would see at every away game you went to, come rain or shine, whatever day of the week, a constant since I started going in 1972. I didn’t know him personally but still knew him if you know what I mean. RIP fellow Addick. Condolences to his family and many friends at this very sad time.

RIP to a legendary Addicks supporter. Someone who I first saw when I was a kid during the Selhurst days and always put a smile on my face whenever I saw him at a game.

    RIP,  such sad news.
  • We are the poorer for his loss - but the Addicks lounge in heaven is the richer for its inheritance.
RIP our dear Charlton friend in the place of eternal victory.

A very sad day for the club and the fanbase.  I only knew him to occasionally say hello to at away games over the years, but his devotion to this club was second to none.  An absolute gentleman and extremely nice chap whose face will be missed by all.  RIP, thoughts and prayers with his family and friends

    RIP fellow Addick.

Been a long time since I went to away games but was always a face you would scan the away end for, when you got there.

Don't want to say anything until the name is released but the club did the right thing, maybe people from outside the club may not understand why. As for the first responders they  fought manfully to try to save him. RIP legend, you will be missed, but never forgotten.

I didn’t really know him to speak to but this has really hit me hard today, I can’t think of Charlton away without him. RIP. Such sad news
