good lad - my son played against him quite a bit when younger and one of Tanto's best mates, Josh, used to play for my son's team which i was manager of - i rate TC but would be good to see Tanto get a start

Just seen a different angle (more side on) of Gillys goal and hadn't appreciated how good the flick Tanto attempted was. Its absolute class and the keeper does well to save it. The confidence to try that is impressive too. Shame it didn't go in!

You don’t want to see Tanto when he’s angry…

That ‘meg on Klarer in the lead up to the equaliser was absolutely glorious
  • Thought he played all right today.

Not having seen the game, why was Tanto angry?

He had some sort of altercation with their keeper who must have said something to him

He went for a cross, and clattered their Goalkeeper

Both went down, and the 'keeper quickly got up and said something to Tanto who was still on the ground.

Tanto quickly got to his feet, brushed against their 'keeper who decided it was his turn to touch grass

Their keeper got all aggy with him for challenging for a cross and then when he got a tiny reaction, went down under no contact trying to get Tanto in trouble / sent off.

He didn’t like that very much and then went on to have one of his best 15 min spells in a Charlton shirt until he got subbed, including the set up for the equaliser.

TC has some great attributes but don't think heading and bravery are at the top of the list - what tanto lacks in finesse and finishing ability, he appears to make up for in bravery and determination - his best mate used to play for my son's team that i used to manage and was exactly the same - would run through brick walls for the team - the header he went for against the keeper at home a month or so ago was extremely brave and on another day could have seen him badly injured. I think he deserves a run in the team now or at least rotation between the 3 (TC, Leaburn, Tanto)
  • I think I remember reading Stockport fans saying he’d run through brick walls and most of his goals were from his ability to press. Love his attitude, definitely needs to work on his finishing (like all our strikers), but would love a team full of tantos.

For those of us of a certain age, it had a touch of old man Leaburn (sorry, Carl) at the Battle of the Bridge.
