Wanted to go slightly off topic to agree with this. I cancelled a few subs I simply wasn't using or reading and thought some of it it would be better spent supporting independent content like this. It's probably the best value £5 a month I spend. That's not even really two coffees! And less than a pint!PragueAddick said:
BTW, I would recommend the paid service 100%. Not only do you get a 30-40 minute review of the game with interviews - which you would never get anywhere near on BBC London- it is also great entertainment because Rich and Louis have developed a rich vein of banter. Add them to Charlton TV with Tel, Greg and Brownie, and we have coverage we could only dream about 10 years ago. They all deliver to a high professional standard but they are our own. You gotta pay for it though. Cancel one of your streaming services if you have to, you’ll thank me later.fenaddick said:
I think he’s accidentally published it as a free post rather than a paid oneLargeAddick said:Got an email from Rich Cawley with interesting comments by NJ to the written press after the game. Don’t know what the protocol is on posting them here. Not from his substack as I don’t subscribe.4 -
exactly - the Leaburn brief, not very loud chant was off the back of birmingham singing it, who were responding to us singing it about one of their's and some of ours then sang it in an ironic way - like the TC overblown nonsense -nothing to see hereboggzy said:

Maybe NJ by some of the post match comments when mentioning TC, is trying to use the same philosophy where like himself the criticism fires him up, wouldn’t be surprised if he’s telling TC to prove people wrong. Bit odd though because in recent times his song has been the loudest song you hear at the valley.killerandflash said:I thought TC's reticence to celebrate with the fans was regretful, as he got complete support yesterday. His chant started as soon as he came on, I'm sure the Brum fans would have got the impression he was a fans favourite, rather than the target of the boo boys.
Losers like the 'brilliant water-carrier' Semedo and Elliot Lee both had the loudest songs at times.
Not that I'm comparing TC to players like them, just saying fans go for a 'catchy' song.1 -

Exactly how I saw/heard it - a couple of ironic refrains acknowledging Birmingham's reflection of us singing it. 10 seconds out of best part of 90mins supporting chants. Doubt if Miles could have even heard it from the other end of the pitchDOUCHER said:

Just watched the post match videos from NJ and Tanto, and take heart from the positivity and team spirit on show from them both, looking forward to Oxford Saturday at The Valley, and a positive three points to take into the Christmas fixtures...COYR.🙌🙌6

I'm a big Tanto fan and think he deserves a decent run.
But, no way did he mean that nutmeg, he mis-controlled it and it fell very nicely for him to square it5 -
With respect, I Suggest you watch the highlights again mate, it was a deliberate and sublime nutmeg, meant and executed magnificently by Tanto...Elthamaddick said:I'm a big Tanto fan and think he deserves a decent run.

Great pub that used to be. Me and my two mates had a cracker in there in 1998 - a late season 0-0 draw, which wasn't enough for us in the chase for automatics and completely ballsed Brum's chances of play-offs.
Had a proper drink with Brum fans before the game and decided to chance it again afterwards. It started off a bit frosty because of the result but we stuck it out and finally the beer flowed and we ended up going for a curry with the same lads late on, in Small Heath!

Jury still out for me, but will give him the benefit of the doubt as he certainly meant to push it past him.eastterrace6168 said:

As someone else said Tanto lacks finesse, almost like a bull in a china shop at times.
His raw power and direct running can be really effective at times and in that respect he is an asset to the squad, but along with that goes the miskicks and frantic shots spooned into the crowd0 -
Meg was definitely intentional.4

he's meant to knock it outside him down the line but it catches his toe and goes through his legs, hence he still runs onto it
but you need a bit of luck sometimes3 -
Christ almighty. Have you not got anything better to do?Weegie Addick said:
If it wasn’t done with any malice, why put it in your vlog then? I would genuinely like to hear / see the time stamped original footage.Braziliance said:
Well it's not rubbish cause it's what I saw and heard. It wasn't loads of fans, just a little group.Weegie Addick said:
Absolute rubbish from what I heard. The only chant of that from our fans was when one of theirs sliced the ball out.Braziliance said:

Was that really our own fans chanting “fucking useless” when Leaburn missed?
And yes it was, I think Birmingham fans started it and a few of ours joined in.
I don't think it was done with any malice either so it doesn't matter.8 -
I've spent a rather sad amount of time replaying it on youtube and I'm firmly on the 'he meant it' side of the fence.Elthamaddick said:he's meant to knock it outside him down the line but it catches his toe and goes through his legs, hence he still runs onto it

The megs was fairly obviously on from the way the defender approached him. I think he pokes it through the legs on purpose having initally thought he might try and go down the line, because he immedeately heads off in the direction of the ball, which isn't that easy if you thought you were going to do something else2 -
A really interesting piece. One day we will score a goal, and not one person will try to pick it apart with a "he didn't mean to do that, "it was easy, I could have scored that", "he's only scored one goal this season"....jeez, just be happy we scored an important goal to gain an important point which has likely given important confidence boosts to Tanto and Tyreece!22

This is CL don't forget that's almost a given here mate...😉3 -
I remember Knibbs being heralded as a fantastic signing, everyone looking forward to what TC & Apter could do at this level, I think Kelman was the only one to receive any flack at that stage, oh to the heady days of Septemberstoneroses19 said:One day we will score a goal, and not one person will try to pick it apart with a "he didn't mean to do that, "it was easy, I could have scored that", "he's only scored one goal this season"....jeez, just be happy we scored an important goal to gain an important point which has likely given important confidence boosts to Tanto and Tyreece!1 -
The loser that won our Player of The Year in 2011? The loser that won the PFA Fans' Player of The Year the season after? That loser?boggzy said:

The fact that the bloke's name is up there alongside the likes of John Humphrey, and indeed Scott Parker (*spit*) is a testament to how excruciatingly shocking our squad was at that time.0 -
Then all the more credit to him that he could play quite well (and even better elsewhere in following seasons). It was most of the rest of the team who were losers, not Semedo.boggzy said:
