Wishlist.......like 99.9% of all players mentioned on here.king addick said:Seen Hardie mentioned a few time on here. Is he available or just on the wishlist?
There are very little, if any, actual rumours emanating from the club. During Jan we might get 1 or 2 ITK posters declaring that x or y player is about to sign, but that is more down to knowing he has been seen at the training ground.

Plymouth finished 23rd and outscored 8th place Millwall. They were 15th for goals last season and 12th the season before, they were a bad side but they were an attacking side. Were a defensive based side would be very difficult to translate over those kind of numbers. Hardie is an alright player but played in a side designed for him, hes got a bit of everything in his game and that works when you have a multitude of ways to play like Plymouth did in the championship but when were set on being robust and one dimensional hes not got enough of a specific quality to trouble defenders.NabySarr said:
Hardie has hit double figures in back to back seasons at this level, and wasn’t even playing for a good team. He’d be a guaranteed starterCrispywood said:
Would he be a guaranteed starter? We’ve just spent 3M on Kelman who although is injured is apparently going to be fit soon, he’s probably on outrageous wages as well. I’ve watched a lot of Hardie being and refuse to believe he would do well in our systemCAFC_boi said:Hardie is definitely going in Jan - Preston, Blackburn and Hull all linked so far.The edge we have is he’d be a guaranteed starter imo.We haven’t actually been linked but imo it would be madness not to try as you won’t get better for the money.1 -
Would we consider keillor dunn (that was rumoured before) or bring burstow back?0

There won’t be nearly as much business as people think, that’s just the way jan window goes. Setting yourselves up for disappointment by throwing names around1

Burstow would be a step down from all our current strikers.2121 said:Would we consider keillor dunn (that was rumoured before) or bring burstow back?13 -
Wouldn't be a rumours thread if we didn't though would it...AberystwythAddick said:There won’t be nearly as much business as people think, that’s just the way jan window goes. Setting yourselves up for disappointment by throwing names around2 -
Keillor Dunn did not want to move to London after we made an enquiry .. and Burstow no we got Leaburn can’t have two of them2121 said:Would we consider keillor dunn (that was rumoured before) or bring burstow back?

Smith was close to joining before Reading had the embargo temporarily lifted and he jumped at the chance to go there, so we know there's interest and Jones liked his profile.
I can't see Wrexham moving on so soon though4 -

Only two transfers in last January - both of which were loans. I think anyone expecting more millions to be spent will be disappointed.8

I wouldn't see Sam Smith as an improvement over Kelman and he's also a few years older, so limited resale value. Doubt this one will happen and I personally hope it doesn't.3

Yeah I don't expect millions to be spent and it will just be loans ultimately.Callumcafc said:Only two transfers in last January - both of which were loans. I think anyone expecting more millions to be spent will be disappointed.0 -
I think they’d do a permanent if the right player was available for the right price. Just in January that’s very unlikelyCallumcafc said:Only two transfers in last January - both of which were loans. I think anyone expecting more millions to be spent will be disappointed.
Loans are fine though. We probably only need 2 or 3 signings, 1 permanent and 2 loans would be great2 -
Bree will be a signing8

Though Jones did say that the owners asked him what he needed and he wanted to keep a smaller squad so ended up just replacing REG with McIntyre and bringing in a more creative midfield option in Gilbert. We were on fire at the time and didn't need to bring much in. This season we're struggling with injuries, looking over our shoulder at the bottom of the table and playing at a higher level so I don't think last January is necessarily going to be a good indicator.Callumcafc said:Only two transfers in last January - both of which were loans. I don't know that we need loads anyway. Need to sign Bree or a replacement quick as we only have him til 2nd January, a LWB and then ideally an alternative to TC who can offer pace and width up front and possibly a dynamic central midfielder who can take care of the ball and bastard in equal measure.6 -

A lot of talk about recalling Kanu and Mbick, but given our shortage of wing back options, and Bree’s time with us potentially ending soon, surely we need to recall Asiimwe? At least until we’ve got some players back or signings in the door

Would Keillor Dunn be any better than our top of league one signings from last season?, people are saying they aren’t good enough then suggesting repeating the same supposed mistake.🤷🏻♂️Scoham said:
Wasn’t there talk that Keillor Dunn wanted to stay up north?2121 said:Would we consider keillor dunn (that was rumoured before) or bring burstow back?
Just looked to see how Burstow is doing, didn’t know he hadn’t scored since the start of October.7 -
Our other signings are all a bit younger as well, so still time for them to develop into championship players. Our board won’t spend big money on a 28 year old from league 1Sword65pf said:

Bree like a new signing...bolloxbolder said:Bree will be a signing7 -
I have been disappointed with Bree recently. He doesn’t look the same player that started with us.15
-
the results between now and the end of jan will obviously have a big bearing on what we do but either way i expect Bree + at least 2 others as a bare minimum incoming5

Kanu Mbick and Asiimwe … none are championship level leave them where they areNabySarr said:A lot of talk about recalling Kanu and Mbick, but given our shortage of wing back options, and Bree’s time with us potentially ending soon, surely we need to recall Asiimwe? Agree .. think we can do better .raytreacy said:I have been disappointed with Bree recently. He doesn’t look the same player that started with us.1 -
Jones loves him though so he'll sign if the money works out.
I want us to still take a chance on someone like Fukuda, from highlights and reports on his play, and his stats, he seems to sit perfectly between being more defensively sound than Apter and more attacking than Bree and Ramsay5 -
Personally think that, although he scored a couple of good goals early on, Bree hasn't looked great. Gets beaten easily due to his lack of pace and even his delivery has been suspect for a few months.3
