thats the TC we all want to see. Devastating when something to prove / up for it

Apter solid at left wing back (1 mistake) although not sure oxford offered much so hard to tell.

tanto and leaburn won everything, they with carey just dont have that reading/partnership yet

    anderson great as well.

Kaminski worries me with his feet!

TC haters in the mud. Changed the game
Nobody has said they hate TC, if he plays poorly he deserves criticism, the last  couple of games he’s had the kick up the arse he needed and low and behold he’s become more effective.

Important win. After last week’s hard-fought draw, I think winning today puts that tough run of defeats to bed. Wasn’t a perfect performance but sometimes it doesn’t matter how you win, you just need to win.

Not to say we were bad - we defended well (mostly) and had showed some flashes of quality - but, overall, I thought it looked like a game between a lower mid table team and a likely relegation candidate.

The good news is, finishing lower mid table would be a very successful season for us, so no shame in looking like that kind of side.

Great to see Kelman impact the game in the way he did. He’ll work his fair share of the press but, make no mistake, he was brought in to turn draws into wins with moments like that. He did his primary job today and what a cracking finish it was.

Didn’t think anyone had a poor game but I think special mention to Miles today. He’s had some (fair) criticism recently, but all that was missing today was a goal - his hold up and aerial play was spot on and he ran his tank dry by full time with all the work he got through.

Hopefully sets us up well for the Christmas fixtures as there are good points up for grabs in winnable games. With the January transfer window around the corner, we have a big opportunity to set ourselves up for the second half of the season looking up and not down.

Decent performance and a deserved if slightly laboured victory. If we can get one forward scoring regularly (Kelman?) we will be okay.

Great 3pts today, Leaburn today is now the player we need to see all the time with some goals added into the mix, he was excellent and definitely not lazy!!, TC is playing with something to prove which great, Kelman when he came on the goal aside proved the important role he plays, he frees up other players in the system, suddenly Carey came alive, kayne was much more the player we know he is. Well done lads happy Christmas and onto the next game!!.

Whoever lol is a dick, unless it’s a mistake!!
  • Looks like Apter has been working on his defensive duties and looked all the better for it.

Ramsay a class act and back in cruise control.  Noticed he was hobbling round after the game but then noticed the size of the ice pack on his calf - enough to make anyone hobble.

A really hard won and important win.

  • I know it’s immature but the write up by the BBC made me laugh

  • Overall that was a good Charlton performance, really liked being able to have both Bree & Rapter on the pitch, I thought the latter defended excellently today and had a real good game.

Kelman & TC changed the game, but the second half overall felt so much more like us! And Connor was absolutely immense at the back, Lloyd and Kayne being utterly superb too

My only complaint is I lasted till the 20th December without hearing Wham - Last Christmas, what I didn’t expect was the Covered End to cause that by singing it out loud!

He got called 'total dogshit' among many other things a few games ago. There have been plenty on here saying he's L1 quality and complaining that he's not good enough full stop, let's not pretend it's all just been friendly constructive criticism
Nobody is pretending, he deserved the criticism and he’s been dropped to the bench because of it, now he has to prove people wrong and win the place back, if he had done what he has the last couple of games he would get the praise, stop apologising for the fella.

Thought we were good without being excellent today.

Highlights were Apter turning out to be pretty adept at defending, Ramsay looking much better again, Anderson's technique has definitely improved, Leaburn looked imperious at times, and Kelman getting a well taken goal that was a proper striker's finish.

Negatives were Jones and Kaminski nearly ballsing up a couple of times, Coventry is still far too negative, Bree's deliveries were awful for the most part, Tanto isn't a great finisher, and the game seemed to pass Carey by a lot, apart from multiple occasions he ran into space and held onto it for too long, which was frustrating.

Hopefully Ramsay was just a minor thing and Bell is back ASAP, and suddenly we look half decent again

Its the polarisation of the world these days. Have to be a lover or hater and not allowed to have any other view!

Both of those comments at the time were in jest, but obviously you don’t hold a grudge!!😂😂. … I asked if you were his dad for the record, not my fault you took it the wrong way.

We are allowed to say someone has done well at one point and not so the next aren’t we? Surely that’s why we discuss things on here🤷🏻‍♂️

Wasn’t pretty but just about deserved and settled by a moment of pure quality.

Having read the thread now think there is some harsh criticism of Olaofe. He made the keeper make a decent save first half and was under pressure from a defender at the time. If he missed an easier chance I can't remember it and on that one alone I'll forgive him. Carey missed at least two better chances first half but I've seen no criticism of him.

Thought that Olaofe's first touch let him down more than the finish itself.. I'm no Footballer let alone a Striker, but having to chase down his touch from the pass possibly limited his options when shooting, and the Goalkeeper was already able to come off his line and close the space.

Would be nice to see Oloafe hit the ball across the keeper to be honest, he did hit it straight at him.

Never been so happy after a 1-0 win, great Kelman goal set up beautifully by TC, and what a game Leaburn had, was everywhere and my MOTM. looking forward to Boxing day already...

Time for firing up HMS FA I think...
I’m sure that’s a USS, not an HMS.

I can't fault anyone today. Leaburn was an absolute beast up front. Apter and Coventry were great, Tyreece frightened them and the Kelman finish was sublime. We were well worth the win, and that should calm a lot of nerves.
And having been reminded by another post, Anderson looks really comfortable at this level. He harassed the opposition to great effect, but looked good passing and going forward.
I know today wasn't perfect but really with our ongoing injuries, I really thought we put in a good performance.

Thought Anderson was excellent, really tidy and a couple of times his body shape when receiving the ball put us on the front foot, something that Doc doesn’t have in his game.

Pressure was on us today so happy for the team they got the win. We played well at times. Highlight for me was Leaburn, best game of the season. Happy for Rob Apter playing so well out of position and of course Kelman getting a very good goal. Quite relieved I must say.
