4' Goal for Ipswich Town U21s. Josh Pitts opens the scoring for the hosts.1

The question we all want to know is can anyone who is watching recognise the trialist?0
-
Trialist is mixed race with a pony tail, made a run off the ball and looked pretty quick. Short to average height.3

Does anyone know if their Mauge is any relation to our Ronnie? Because unusual surname. In looking him up I found he was a Trinidad and Tobago international. Never knew that.2

Who is that on the right? A ballboy?paulie8290 said:

Are we witnessing a Golden Generation of CAFC youth talent coming through...? I can't remember the last time we had so many players on the brunt of the first team.
It's not crazy to think that we could at some point line-up with:WB: Josh Laq
CB: Zach Mitchell
CB: Keenan Gough
CM: Karoy Anderson
AM: Ibrahim Fullan
XX: Tyreece Campbell
ST: Dan Kanu
ST: Micah Mbick
Eight youth products in one team, not to mention Alan Muamba, who NJ has said he rates very highly. Plus Kai Enslin, who has looked good whenever I've seen him.3 -
None are quite at Lookman/Gomez/Shelvey level, but I agree, so many who could do well for us and if not have good pro careers in the EFL. I don’t remember having so many on the fringes which is probably better than having one stand out prospect.Chunes said:Are we witnessing a Golden Generation of CAFC youth talent coming through...? Definitely can include Mwamba, Enslin and Reuben Reid in that list.
From the streams I’ve seen this season Ethan Brown (RB/RWB) has stepped up as a permanent member of the u21s well. Shows good pace and energy, challenges well in the air, brave and a decent passer of the ball. Looks a bit like Ramsay with the bandage on his wrist, I think he can be a solid FB in the Josh Edwards mould. A solid player at u21 level like Hobden is, but 3 years younger so time on his side to keep developing.
Not convinced Rylah makes it here but he can have a decent career, has enough about him technically and physically to do well somewhere, especially with his pace. Maybe needs to find his best position as he gets moved between WB, winger and up front depending on who’s available.
Good to see Casey settling in at Dorking, another who probably won’t make it with us with the strikers ahead of him but can have a solid career.
We’ve hopefully got more beyond this group as well, the u18s are top of their league with 1/2 games in hand, unbeaten and with a huge goal difference:

Am surprised Rylah hasn't gone out on loan somewhere in the top reaches of the NLS or bottom half of the National League. Feels like the next step for him.3
-
I reckon he will get a stint on loan once we’ve decided what we are doing in the attacking department. He’s below the likes of Kanu, Dixon and Mbick, but ahead of Casey. If Godden comes back soon, or if one of the lads on loan at L2 return, I can see him heading out.MarcusH26 said:Am surprised Rylah hasn't gone out on loan somewhere in the top reaches of the NLS or bottom half of the National League. Potentially NLS but I can see the limitations of a move to NLS as there’s more full time teams in the NL.0 -
Loaning out Rylah might leave us very short at U21 level though, same with Enslin. We already have a young squad and they are some of the more "senior" players0
-
I do agree, but equally gives the opportunity for some of the U18 players who are doing very well to step up and be challenged in a different environment. Rylah has been on the cusp of the first team for a few seasons now (albeit mainly due to injuries) and I think his next step would be first team football somewhere.fenaddick said:Loaning out Rylah might leave us very short at U21 level though, same with Enslin. Just watched the Matty Godden the club posted and I’m pretty sure Alan Mwamba was on the training pitch when Godden was running, we haven’t seen Mwamba for a while so a good sign (if I’m right!)1

🔢 Here's how our U21s line-up for this afternoon's PDL clash against AFC Bournemouth's U21s:Hardy; Brown, Laqeretabua, Ewens-Findlay, Enslin; Amissah, Mwamba, Rylah; Fullah, Lock, R.ReidSubs: T.Reid, Safa, Davis, Washington-Amoah, Kuczynski#cafc | @ValleyGoldFullah getting a run out and Mwamba playing for the first time in months.
Would have thought Rylah is RW and Fullah in midfield, as that reads like a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1.3 -
Delighted to see Mwamba there. Wonder if that plays into the idea of sending Anderson on loan as NJ is a massive fan

Hasn't Ty Ewans-Findlay been out for ages too? Got injured up at Preston if I recall correctly?
Good to see Mwamba back , maybe someone to keep an eye on loan wise even if NJ really likes him0 -
Can’t remember which game but yeah was out for a while, think he came back a few games ago, so wasn’t out as long as Mwamba.MarcusH26 said:Hasn't Ty Ewans-Findlay been out for ages too? Got injured up at Preston if I recall correctly?
