  • Ah the festivus pole.  The airing of the grievances is my favourite bit.

  • It's a Hornby OO (1:76) gauge featuring Santa's Steam engine, a present wagon and Santa's workshop.

The engine is rechargeable and makes a chuffing sound, it has a whistle that blows and there's an occasional 'Ho ho ho'.  thrown out for good measure.  Er ... ahem .. I bought it for the grand kids.

(PS.) I removed the presents and added a Santa in the middle truck - thought the grand kids would like that :) ).

wife got the hump last sunday - something to do with what door i brought the christmas decs in from the garage - anyway, she then watched me put the tree up and spend considerable time decorating it - then, once i'd finished, told me we are getting a new one - i took a photo ready to upload on here - new tree arrived thursday - i'm now off to birmingham and assume she will put the new tree up (i won't be doing it, thats for sure) - i will post the results up and see if her silly tiff is a waste of time and money

Wife's new tree on the left, mine (without lights switched on) on the right - was it worth it?

Think she trying to tell you, she wants a few more inches.
if she'd just got rid of it would have been a more accurate reflection of what she wants  :/

  • There's a lovely tree in the Bishopsgate plaza - it boasts to being London's tallest at 67 feet.

I was invited to the big light switch on for this, turned on by Dermot O’Leary. It is a very big and beautiful.

Cheers mate. The 9 month old grandson loves trying to chew them (he's teething) and throwing them around the room 😅

    OMG!!! That is fucking awful!

  • Did you picknout the decorations for this yourself?
No, this is my daughter in law’s tree.  She inherited many of the decorations from her departed mother and adds to them year by year.  Just a passing comment. I think with ValleyGary’s comments on Rate my Plate and stonemuse’s comments on this one I’ll be avoiding these threads in future (as far as my own contributions are concerned).
