I think in that situation, it’s better to stay in the pub.golfaddick said:Go home & see the missus & the kids...(if you have any).7 -
Used to go to Bromley Christmas eve to meet friends and others. End up at the swan. Pissed. Stay with a mate as public transport is near on none existent on Christmas eve. Christmas day morning trying to get home was always a struggle as I was the one doing the dinner. Still half cut. Managed it though for a number of years. Don't think I could do it now.2

Back in the day a mate of mine was sent out by the misses on Christmas Eve to buy the turkey. He decided to pop in the pub on the way for couple of beers around lunch time. Before he knew it, it was gone 5 so drove (i know) to local M&S only to find it had already closed. So thought 'fuck it' might as well go back down the pub. Got home in the earlier hours with obviously no turkey. Needless to say they split up quite soon after this.15

If you bat on long enough, can you turn a defeat into a draw?CAFCBourne said:Bat on if your in trouble your in it time has no consequence now0 -
