Xmas Threads 2025 - Kids up yet?

Early starts for people or not? What time they have you up this morning.

Mrs AFKA was 1st up at 6.30, apparently there’s a million jobs that have to be done this morning. First kid up at 6.45, which is later than a normal day!

17 yr old is now at the age where I have to drag him out of bed if I want to see him before midday. And even then I get one or two grunts from under a hoodie for conversation.

11 yr old currently fast asleep too!

I was up with my youngest at just after three yesterday, luckily the insomnia medication worked today and he was calling out to say he wants to get up as I left with the dog.

Six year old up before 6am, as he has been for the last week with excitement.

Very happy with his Charlton away kit - ‘22, Olaofe’ on the back (don’t ask, blame Brammal Lane).

Back in the UK for Xmas and new year... woke up at 4 and got the rest of the family up to do presents at 5.45, probably to old to be doing this at 31 but don't care, best time of the year!

4 year old up at 8am. Went down to open presents at 8.20. Still too early for me.

Littlen was up at 3am telling me he can see the sunrising. Managed to hold out until 6am before opening presents, Merry Christmas all.

My sister called me at 3am hammered, which was just what I needed, my son then got up 7, thankfully it was still pitch black outside and I managed to persuade him it was still 4.

That kept him quiet until about 7:40 😮‍💨
