Considering our current crop of forwards have a combined 8 G/A in 4142 mins or the equivalent of 46 x90min games I really don’t think we should be too fussy whoever we bring in up top it would be harder for them to not improve us.

That being said wingbacks have to take the priority this window and then any left over budget we can use on a striker is a luxury.

Yeah don't fancy another striker that doesn't score goals. If we're going after Birmingham players get Marc Leonard to play alongside Cov.

I am by no means saying he’s the answer but for the last 3 matches or so Leaburn has played like a proper target man, not far off the level Dykes would, and the problem has been getting players up the pitch to support him and the second striker. A rapid wing back would help out massively and take some of the burden off Sonny Carey who looks like he needs a proper rest

I still think signing proper wing backs will do more to get us scoring more goals than signing a new striker will. Hopefully we can do both next month

Injuries have caused the team to be unbalanced. WB would help us with current formation.

Donley would be perfect signing for us. Runs with the ball, creates, scores and is getable.
Not sure Jones is much of a Donley fan.

Brutal reality is that we acquired squad fillers over the summer with hardly any of the new signings Carey and when he’s available Bell aside making the impact we’d hoped for. I’d rather we bought a couple of players that immediately had an impact than three or four more “hopefuls”.

That’s the Charlton Life scouting department for you...one good performance, even just a cameo and the name stays on their wishlist indefinitely!

Nothing to do with that and everything to do with the fact NJ was talking to him after the game up there for quite a while, certainly much longer than an opposing manager would usually chat with a player that he's not managed before

As you often tell people, I wouldn't read so much into that 😉.

I think we was also linked with him in the summer as well.

Drameh was mentioned during the summer and I think last Jan too? Would make sense as a pacey wingback option.
